He subsequently refused to do any publicity whatsoever for the film, costing it millions.

Say what you want about Marvel, but Norton's not a team player. You can have creative differences, but to go out of your way to completely tank a project you and others have invested millions in does not endear you to a great many people.

Also, I have to re-iterate, it was a movie about the goddamn Hulk. I love comics, but this isn't arthouse cinema.

I don't think it's fair to say this until we see Norton's cut. X-Men 2 was 2 and a half hours and it didn't feel like it. The Hulk felt just shy of great or really good, and maybe ignoring Norton's wishes is what handicapped them.

Also, if they knew Norton's reputation then it's caveat emptor. You can't bring him on knowing he likes to have a say (whether he's over inflating his self importance or not) and then be surprised he doesn't want to have it your way.

This is what I was alluding to in my earlier post. I think Norton's hands on approach is what cost him this time. I was also left with a "wanting more" feeling after Incredible Hulk, even though I really liked it. I would prefer that they just cast someone not that well known, and focus more on having more Hulk in the movie, and downplay the fact that they replaced one of their leads by having Banner in only a few scenes.

I guess Joaquin is out, if he was ever in play for the role to begin with. Now it sounds like Banner Number 3 could end up being Mark Ruffalo, who I think bears a very slight resemblance to Eric Bana.

There's also some stuff in the link about Thor and Captain America being in 3D. Of course they will be. Everything has to be in 3D nowadays.

LA Times article on the 3D with new pic of what Thor, Odin, and Loki's Norse God Armor looks like:

Not loving the Loki outfit where is the horned helmet? It almost looks Anthony Hopkins' head was CGI into the costume. I am not sure about Ruffalo, he looks the part in the Ultimates dork kinda where, but I don't know if he has the presence that Banner sometimes needs to be able to go toe to toe with Tony, Reed and sometimes Cap. Ultimates really didn't do the Banner character any favors. I am not shocked about the 3D, hopefully we will get an option for 2D or 3D and not just ramming it down our throats.

Tennant's name seems to pop up in any rumored casting as a rule of law now. Ruffalo is as good an option as they're going to get.

Maybe next time, Danny Strong or Tom Lenk.

If you throw Steve Buscemi anywhere into the Marvel U, I`d have to go with a Spider-Man or Daredevil villain, if anything.

Ross shrinking in the comics just seems to me like someone touching on the thought of the Napoleonic complex, ergo another reason for him to loathe the Hulk.

I think Elijah Woods would make an alright Bruce Banner. He can pull off the `not-in-the-face` mentality Bruce Banner embodies.

so, is Scarlett Scarlet - or is she the Wasp.

Because Renner is Hawkeye, and they entered the Avenders together (The Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye). But there are no other females and The Wasp is an original member. But my favorite Avengers line up is Cap, Hawkeye, the Witch, Vision, Iron Man, Thor and Quicksilver. (and, yeah, Wonderman too)

Why would Scarlett be anything but Black Widow? The movies aren't strictly beholden to comics continuity.

(And before anyone says Chris Evans was the Human Torch but is now Captain America, FOX owns the rights to Fantastic Four, Marvel owns the rights to Avengers. Different studios. No continuity within them.)

Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver are Magneto's children and Magneto's rights belong to FOX, with the X-Men, and probably along with the concept of "mutants".

Despite if Edward Norton wanted more control over some of the projects, it still was a dumbass move by Marvel by not allowing Norton to reprise the role that was tanked by Eric Bana in the other Hulk movie.

Ed Norton saved the Hulk franchise in his role and quite honestly, I cannot see anyone coming close to playing Bruce Banner/ Hulk like Norton did.

How many bad movies has Ed Norton been in? I do not quite know the answer but it seems every role and every movie Edward Norton has been in is pretty solid to say the least. Give the guy some control; he would probably help out Marvel and the Hulk franchise considerably.

With the highly anticipated Avengers movie and Captain American and Thor next summer, now is not the time to screw things up by any means.

The kid playing Lex was awesome. The final scene with him looking in the mirror was frightening. He does look like Michael Rosenbaum. If they do not get Michael back, I don't think its all for not mainly due to the strength of the last few episodes.
