Interesting little read that questions why THQ continues to use different developers to develop different WWE games for each of the three consoles. After reading the article, I'm still trying to justify that behaviour myself, so I guess he makes some good points.
(edited by EddieBurkett on 10.11.03 1333) If you're reading this, the tide was in.
That article isn't the reason THQ uses different companies for different console games. It an article about what everyone knows and has been saying for years.
THQ...stay with one developer(AKI if u can get them back from EA) or keep developing the YUKES engine from SD! and make the same WWE games on all platforms. None of this RAW for X-Box, SD! for PS2, and Wrestlemania for Gamecube.
The only game title now should be Wrestlemania, if this brand seperation is forever. RAW roster only on X-Box, and SD! roster only on PS2 not going to happen. Only place to get them both is Gamecube(Wrestlemania)
Rename next years Smackdown! - Wrestlemania XX and go multiplatform.

I'm pretty sure that THQ believes that the fanbase is so devoted to buying Wrestling games, that those who own multiple consoles will be a wrestling title for each console (something you wouldn't do with say, Madden). Whether this is true or not, is simply a numbers game that THQ should've figured out years ago.

Note to self:
The less I post, the fewer chances I have to look like an ass.
I bought Raw 2 for the Xbox and was upset for wasteing the money. It left a bad taste in my mouth and compare to Sd or Wrestlemaina it was the worst I've seen. I do agree why is there mulit. develment teams for the games? I mean I love the entrance stuff in Wrestlemaina and the only thing I like about Raw was (ok 2 things) the stuff you could do in the season mode (attacking, sit traps, etc) and custom sound track. Next year I am going to rent any othere wrestleing game, but going to buy SD when it comes out.
Great Muta is a wrestling GOD!! praise the Great Muta.
