I'm not sure, but if memory serves its been about a year since he hurt himself. I think he should be around that stage where he can start working out again.

Youngblood surgery takes a year to heal, but if you look at recent returns of Benoit and Rhyno from the surgery, it seems to be about 18 months till they're getting ready to actively wrestle again. I would guess we might be able to see him in time for Summerslam, but that's just a guess.

They'll probably hold off bringing him back until after WM. Otherwise, his big return gets overshadowed by Taker/Kane, Lesnar/Goldy, Benoit/HHH/HBK (however it shakes out), and whatever other hoopla would be going on.

Well, this makes sense, especially with Benoit on RAW and Goldberg leaving and with Angle going heel. Cena and Eddie are the only viable faces and Cena should be locked into a long run with the US Belt after/when he beats the Big Show.

Too bad about Edge, had he not needed surgery, he MAY have held the Heavyweight title by now.

Is it a lock that when Edge returns he will be on Smackdown? I don't know about any sort of Mega-push centered around his return. It seems to me that smackdown will be a crowded place near the top when Undertaker returns (unless he's going to Raw). And beyond that I would imagine that Cena would be first in line for the next big face push to the WWE Title.

Perhaps Edge will return as a heel....

I've been hearing that Taker will return on Raw, so a full force feud with Kane can take place, and it would make sence to have Taker and Kane on the same show if their feud is going to be in the top lineup.

Perhaps Edge will return as a heel....

That's possible, certainly something I'd tune in to see. But I don't seeing a heel Edge going over so well. It'd end up being like when they tried to turn Eddie heel by beating the snot out of Tajiri. But the fans didn't buy it and still gave Eddie a huge pop week after week. So for Edge as a heel, it's possible, but not altogether probable.

Yeah, me too. More likely, he probably would've ended up in the same situation as his former tag team partner.

The face side of the Smackdown roster is pretty thin... with the rumored turn of Angle, you're then left with Cena, Eddie, Undertaker (if he's back on Smackdown), and Edge as the top babyfaces. That's pretty thin, and if Big Show is out for a while because of his knee... you're suddenly left in a position where the spotlight needs to be shined on new talent, and Edge would be primed for a big-time push with that factor combined with his comeback.

I think Kane is going to Smackdown in the interest of fairness to be managed by Vince and protect him from paranormal activities.

Edge won't be a heel. Everyone who comes back from a major injury is a babyface, it's a natural sympathetic/heroic storyline.

He said it is a definite that I will make it back for WrestleMania -- my only goal since the surgery March 10. I'll get my clearance four days before, but at least I'll have a month of OVW under my belt to try to get in ring shape. In the meantime, I've been given clearance to start "tumbling." I'm not exactly a luchadore (as evidenced by my Los Conquistadores roll into the ring), but at least it's something.

Edge's Smackdown opportunities have expired. Edge/Angle has been done and I doubt there'd be much interest in Edge/Brock or Edge/Big Show. If Raw's in absolute desperate need of new babyfaces, send Edge their way.

But as it is, it's looking like Edge will more than likely get lost in the Eddie/Cena shuffle. Unless they STILL continue to delude themselves by pretending Bob Holly is main event material, in which case Edge would become the #4 face.

Edge: So it shouldn't be long before I come back, since Smackdown's gonna need another main eventer.
Funaki: There's always Bob Holly.
Edge: HAHAHAHAHAHA!! What? You're serious? DUDE! How long have I been out???

Not nearly. Remember, Edge was already given a main-event push with top-tier superstars at the time of his injury. He was shown to be capable of hanging with Angle, Benoit, and has already had a title shot during Big Show's last reign where he almost unseated the champion.

Compare that to Christian, who's best hope right now is to get more offense against Jericho than Chavo had against Eddie.

Other than Lita (who might have been here, but not on tv), the past few WWE SuperStars rehabbing their neck injuries among other things have done a small stint in OVW before returning to wichever show they're on.

We've been lucky enough to see Benoit, Rhyno, Angle and even Eddie Guerrero make some rehab appearances here, so maybe we'll get Edge too. I'm sure that someone who's lucky enough to get the show every week will note if that happens, if it isn't broken in one of the news sites first.

Edge is out with a broken neck he'll be back after WM, BUT..WWE doesn't know where to put edge yet because RAW s creativity staff are tring to get Edge on to their show instead of Smack down... but smackdown wants edge back..decisions decisions.

I saw Edge interviewed on a Canadian TV show about a month back (Off The Record with Michael Landsberg). He said his recovery was going more slowly than anticipated, but he was in no hurry to rush the healing process since it literally means his neck. He also said he's lost a lot of weight and he's very rusty, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to works off some of that rust in OVW first. Can't wait to see his return though. He'll get big pops for sure.

So sayeth Randy Stilton.

Please please please let Edge come back on Smackdown. Raw is already full of big name guys with plenty of mid-carders getting short-ended because of it, like Booker, RVD, V1, etc. The biggest name veterans on SD are Angle and Eddie, and they're likely going to end up feuding.

I'm hoping that these crossover angles will play out on SD as well as Raw. I'd like to see Kane-Taker, I'd settle for Goldberg-Brock, and on the off chance I'd love to see The Rock-Cena.

Edge could wrestle at WrestleMania XX but they are keeping him off with good reason, if he returns at the same time as The Rock, Mick Foley, The Undertaker and any others rumoured to return then he's going to be overshadowed. With Benoit on RAW Edge should almost definately be on SD! but then the rumours are of the opposite. The good news anyway is that he'll be back post 'Mania very quickly.

Why do you feel this way, exactly? From where I sit, Edge has a "who broke my neck?" storyline to work through, and considering my Poirot-like talent for deduction, I'd say that the top suspects are Big Show and Lesnar. Because BOTH MEN are former WWE champions, a feud with either would represent a step up the card. Particularly in the case of Brock Lesnar, who I see coming off the Wrestlemania win over Goldberg, an extended feud with Edge could occupy both in a high-profile series of matches of increasing intensity.

Besides, do you really want to lose Edge in the shuffle of HBK, RVD, Benoit, and Jericho?
