Originally posted by EcksI was there for his first WWF/E match at Copps Coliseum. He wrestled as Sexton Hardcastle, and his outfit was basically long tights with a large star on the rear. As for who he wrestled, I'm drawing a blank right now.
The Internet thinks it might have been Bob Holly?
EDIT: The Internet ALSO says Edge did a number of dark matches and talent enhancement as Damon Striker in WCW before he debuted in WWF, which I didn't know until five minutes ago.

That's really weird to watch.
...and why isn't Dusty doing color commentary anymore?
I've been rampaging through Edge videos following link after link. He epitomized the "E" in WWE. I remember the first time I had heard of him is when The Brood gave a promo then drenched Micheal Hayes in a "bloodbath" on the pilot episode of Smackdown. I recently found that video on YT and my God was Gangrel horrible on the mic, Christian looked the coolest by saying nothing, and Edge saved the promo on what was probably his first televised promo. So many great moments from him.
He became my utmost reason to watch wrestling again after I got bored with it during the rise of Cena and Triple H's Evolution stable. My friend who was a huge fan at the time (and like me was a Hardy Boyz fan) told me about the scandal with Lita. I don't know why but he became one of my favorite heels of all time during that feud with Matt hardy. His suprise returns, womanizing, stealing, random vicious streaks, and rockstar attitude I think made him the most multi-layered superstars in the history of WWE. To me Edge always felt the closest to being a modern day Ric Flair without ripping Flair off like so many have tried.
Thanks Edge! You we're the ultimate opportunist. You used every opportunity you got to make the fans happy, specially me (I'll be wearing my Edge "Sex & Violence" shirt to a concert tonight).

That's the one where he said something like "Beware, take care, because the freaks come out at night," wasn't it?

It didn’t take a crystal ball to see that Edge was going to be a star. He clearly had the moves, the look, the charisma. But it wasn’t until a particular “Brood” interview, where Gangrel seemed to stumble verbally, that Edge was given a chance on the stick – an opportunity he took full advantage of; leaving all the boys with that unmistakable “ohh, he can talk, he’s going to draw money” feeling. Clearly, this guy was not meant to be either silent or brooding, and within a matter of weeks (or so it seemed) Edge and Christian had been de-Brooded
Yeah Gangrel was awful with that stupid fake laugh at the end of every line.
I think that's the only time I've ever seen someone hold a microphone up to Christian's mouth and seen him respond by just looking at the interviewer like, "Are you crazy? You really think I'm gonna speak?"
Now it's getting him to shut up that's the trick. (And I say that with all the love in the world for Christian, one of my favorite wrestlers).

I am also thinking Hogan invoking Foley's name is going to lead to a Foley response TNA may not like. Say, I was supposed to be in Orlando for a Lockdown party, but now I have other things going on. Hogan has to have the spotlight on him and thats all these tweets are about. I say we move on and talk about how great it will be when Edge and Booker argue about shampoo when they announce a PPV or Smackdown together.
Through the convoluted internal logic of the show, Benoit & Guerrero should've HATED each other after Benoit's jump to RAW in early 2004, right? Right? NO, because that would make no sense. So why try to enforce the whole thing now?
