Ok, recently I have be going through all my Raw, Smackdown and Nitro tapes, because I'm trying to takes some inventory on matches and also just to reminisce of the old days. And as I go through these tapes I realize that when Edge and Christian were together they were entertaining every week and possibly the best part of the show. They put on some great matches including all of the ladder matches and TLC matches. They had some of the funniest promos. Then there was the whole Conquistadors thing, the 5 second poses. They ruled! So my question to all of you wieners is where do they rank among the best tag teams of all time? Or best WWF tag teams of all time?

They were easily the most entertaining promowise, all time.

Kurt Angle was amazing on the mike too, unbelievably, right from day 1.

I'll admit I haven't watched Wrestling all that long, only the last 5 years or so. Therefore I can't really compare the recent incarnation with all the history. With that in mind, Edge and Christian have been one of my favorite tag teams, and I think they are among the top few teams of the modern wrestling era.

Using almost any criteria (entertaining promos and mic skills, good chemistry, longevity, title reigns, crowd response) they come up near the top of the list in the last five years. I wouldn't even think to call them the best ever, disrespecting all the great teams that came before. But even so they will always hold a place in my heart, even the times when I was still a mark and I hated them, just like I was supposed to.

Thank god for whoever got them out of Gangrel's shadow and out of the Brood gimmick.

Man, I miss the days of good tag teams like Edge and Christian. But they still aren't the best of all time. They're still behind The Steiners and The Hart Foundation in my book.

No doubt, it was their fued with the Hardy Boyz that made them fun to watch. I always thought the T.erri I.nvitational T.ournament was a stupid way to say a naughty word on TV, but that best of five series made BOTH teams shine, and it marked the begining of the Edge and Christian we came to love (and put the Hardyz in a fued for the first time).

(I know the "New Brood" followed, but that just moved Gangrel from E&C to the Hardyz and then out into the street)

Best of all time? Hell no. Not with the Steiners, the Hart Foundation, the Rockers, and the Midnight Express to consider as well. Best of the last few years? Absolutely.

I'd take the Lane and Eaton version of the Express over them, as well as Arn/Tully-Arn/Bobby Eaton. But as far as WWF/E tag teams, they might be the best. But, the will never, ever, be the legends that were the Mulkey Brothers.

Edit: As best WWF/E tag ever, I mean WWF/E only team. Then again, as an old NWA fan, I always think of Tully and Arn as part of the Horsemen, not as the Brainbusters.

They were together for........ 3 years? Considering how many matches(Importent matches, not just house show ones) they had, that's like 36 old school. They of course didn't have that much time to improve, but considering how good they are, they're the best of all time. Of course you could also say that The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchannan, Steven Richards and Bull Buchannan, Right To Cencor, Too Cool, Kaientai, The Mean Street Posse, The New Age Out Laws, The Rock and The Undertaker, The Undertaker and Kane, and Los Conquestadors Edge and Christian, Those other two guys, and The Hardy Boyz helped too.

Why did all of these tag teams stop? Well it might be hard to say, but here's a hint, pirT rewoP naM owT ehT. Ever since them we've had Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, The Dudley Boyz(Which would have worked if they had more tag teams to feud with and more tag teams for those to feud with), The A.P.A., Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon( I know those two have a history, but I didn't know about it when he started helping Diamond Dallas Page, and I don't think they explained it.), Kane and The Undertaker(Squashing Diamond Dallas Page. I could see if he was injured before hand, and since I didn't know about Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon's past, I could see that), The Dudley Boyz( Lacking the second tag teams), The Rock and Chris Jericho(This was a good idea), Booker T. and Test, The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, Spike Dudley and Tazz(They defended against Crash and Funaki in the main event of Metal), Billy and Chuck(Which was a good idea, but they didn't put them on them on a Pay Per View).

Except for the vast amount of The Dudley Boyz tag team title reigns this is impressive, but there was no backing for it. They were the only guys going after the belt. And I didn't include Kane and The Undertaker before The Two Man Power Trip because they worked as a team. They'd gone up against Edge and Christian and The Dudley Boyz at No Way Out 2001, and this wastheir first tag team championship reign for the brothers.

Oh yes, and I can't forget Crash and Funaki......... ............. .... ..

Don't forget the British Bulldogs. I'm not sure who's the best-ever but they're definitely in the top 10.

This is funny because I just very recently decided Edge and Christian were my favorite tag team of all time. Now give Christian and Jericho some time together and that all my change (they are my two favorite wrestlers in the Fed). I was bored at work and wrote down my top ten tag teams of all time (only in the WWF, though) with Edge/Christian taking the top spot from Demolition.

What can I say? I love Edge and Christian. I got lots of Edge and Christian stuff on tape, especially all the Conquistador stuff. My god that's the SHIZNIT! Oh, but I got the best Edge/Christian moments in the WMX7 TLC match, and the best one of all...

As the title says, is anyone out there who lives in the city of Champions catching Wrestlemania X-9 at a Famous Players theatre or whatever else? If so, maybe a get together of Wienerboarders to talk wrestling?
