A better show than last week, I thought. I enjoyed "Macho Libre," and I like how they have Sandman destroy some WrestleCrap every week.

Did it look to anyone else like Randy hurt his wrist?

Was I the only one who thought Marmaluke DIDN'T submit? YOU SCREWED TONY! YOU SCREWED TONY!

Two of the matches weren't actually matches, Kelly the World's Worst Stripper was back, apparently Test is coming soon, and no Zombie to be seen anywhere.

Okay...Macho Libre was pretty funny.

Okay, that show was about a trillion times better than last week.

Sabu/Mamaluke was fun, albeit sloppy. The main-event was really good (although the result pretty much guarantees that Edge is winning on Sunday). They seem to be building something between Tommy Dreamer and Big Show (yes, Show killed him this week, but it was obvious that it's just the beginning of something). Macho Libre was awesome (not as awesome as THE ZOMBIE, but still great).

Overall, just a fun 60 minutes.

Three things:

1) This week was said to be nearly 100% Paul Heyman. It should be like that every week.

2) This week was taped AFTER SmackDown rather than before, and the crowd was MUCH better than last week, so they should keep doing that.

3) They darkened the arena during the matches. The should continue this. It's a small thing, but goes a long way in making the brand look different from RAW & SmackDown. And it compliments the "grittiness" of the brand.

Some other notes:

Randy Orton appeared to injure himself during the main-event. I don't know how it happened. He was working over Kurt Angle's leg, and then just stopped. He was holding on to his arm, which appeared to go limp. He did continue working the rest of the match, taking a flip-dive from RVD (and he caught him, which can't be fun with an injured arm) and delivered the RKO with said arm.

Apparantly, Test did a promo. I missed it, and I'm not complaining about missing it.

Based on Kurt's movement, I think Randy really clipped his leg and stung his shoulder. He worked the leg three different ways in about 15 seconds and got out of the ring gingerly. It was very odd. Hot finish to the match though.

No idea who Kelly's mean guy was, but he already has initials on his tights. For a second, I thought he stole Shane Douglas's tights.

Count me in as a Test fan, and I'm eager to see him return.

I don't remember Sabu working this smoothly before, but he's making a fan out of me. Is his "deal" the first time he's talked on TV? No, wait. He talked on TNA. But let's not count that.

This show had The Mott's this week. But who will be the goon that beats Sandman? PLACE BETS NOW!

Agreed, better show this week by a mile. Still could use some improvement though. Was glad to see actual matches this week, and even if I wasn't glad to see Kelly back, at least this week her bit started to go somewhere. Biggest problem is still trying to differentiate the show from other WWE brands. I noticed the thing with the lights, too, and it helped. But it doesn't help enough when the overwhelming message of the show is that "Everyone in ECW except RVD and Sabu sucks." I'm not saying we need to see Stevie Richards beating John Cena (although I'd pay to see that), but it'd be nice to see some of the ECW guys looking strong against each other at least.

Much better. Cutting the house lights made the arena look much more ECW and at least different from a standard WWE show. They still showed a close-up of some little kids at the beginning, though. They'll work on that, I think, based on the fans they showed in the latter parts of the show.

Test didn't cut a promo, OMEGA: it was a video package. I'd rather see someone new than someone old who isn't even an ECW alum, though.

They do need to keep giving us new talent, though. Or re-introduce guys like Stevie Richards and Danny Doring at least. The guy who pulled Kelly off stage was a good start.

I can't wait until Vengeance is over so they can start working more on their own identity.

I did notice Tazz said the ECW title would be on the line on Sunday. wwwe.com says what I thought was the case: that it's the WWE title being defended. I assume it was just a slip by Tazz.

Also, Big Show seems to be the first clear heel on ECW, and it looks like Heyman is finally correctly using the giant everyone else wasted.

(OMEGA's just added a #3 that makes my part of my post redundant, but it's a huge improvement and bears repeating.)

What? I must have too blinked unless the guy with dark hair bringing Kelly a towel was him or was that the new Mordecai Vampire? ***EDIT*** I still missed the video package too. Whatever.

Yes it was a 200% better than last weeks show. It had a much better pace than the cluster of last weeks show. The crowd was much better it still wasn't an ECW crowd but they were a whole lot better to respond to everyone.

It still needs to improve some but last week got a pass from almost everybody. This week show gives me more promise in the new ECW brand. I love Sandman destruction of Wrestle Crap each week like Gugs said. Next week WWE Legend Doink :-D

I didn't see to much complain about as compaired last week debacle.

PLEASE I'm front some money for Enter Sandman. I'll pay $30 dollars for my ticket instead of $25 just for that. Please...I know it's already been discussed but please.

The name of the wrestler who covered up Kelly (who is H-O-T in person) was Sylvester Turkay. He wrestled in a dark match before the taped SD! against Matt Hardy. He wrestled the generic big guy style...had a couple decent power moves.

Tonight's show was pretty good in person...crowd seemed really into it. I think the fact that SmackDown was not too much to cheer about (not a bad show...just kinda there) probably helped.

For those who don't know...Turkay's claim to fame is that Kurt Angle beat him in the 1995 NCAA Championships.

Still not great, but better. Didn't someone here last week suggest having "Hi, I'm the Sandman, and I like to beat people with a cane" introductory promos? And that's exactly what they did -- good call, whoever you are!

I like that Kelly's Expose turned into an angle, which is how it should be. I'm thinking that's Kelly's boyfriend, who can't stand the fact that his girlfriend is an exhibitionist. That's actually kind of ECWish, so good for them.

I can't believe they had the perfect opportunity to start fresh and drop the worst ring name in wrestling history, and they didn't take it.

Am I a moron for never noticing that Macho Man says everything twice?

It was a better show than last week, but during the main event of any show, let alone an ECW show, I should be glued to the edge of my seat. Tonight, it was "blah".

I'd like to see them give Sandman something substantive to do rather than beat up the WrestleCrap Idea of the Week. I'd also like an actual ECW guy-- other than RVD and Sabu-- to have some goddamn gravitas. If ECW consists of RVD, Sabu, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Sandman and twelve guys who suck, IT'S NOT GONNA WORK.

I wanted to like tonight's show... I want to like the new ECW... but right now, I don't. I'm gonna keep watching and hope they do something to change my mind, though.

- Yeah the show was better this week but it wasn't a ECW show, it was just an extra hour of WWE.

- Atleast Marmaluke got some offense in this week, unlike Credible last week.

- I'm glad the Kelly thing went somewhere but the guy who came out and covered her must be really slow since it took him about 10 minutes to get out there.

- I know they want Big Show to look strong but does he really have to destroy Dreamer? Dreamer and Credible have been made to look like nothings. So they're basically just pushing RVD and Sabu and a bunch of WWE guys.

I canīt wait for Sandman vs. Dingo Warrior! That will be great!

Sandman vs. Wrestlecrap really could work! I really hope he finishes with destroying the whole Spirit Squad, but thatīs likely not going to happen, right?

Lot better than last week, and also liked the fact they didnt hide the fact they fucked up. The lighting was better, Kelly actually read up on her Stripping 101 book, and even something as subtle as Tazz & Styles' monitors being moved to the middle of the table so they at least look like they're watching the same thing. Some good spots during the match, and I gotta admit, I thought Randy Orton's dropkick was a thing of beauty. This is more of what last week shoulda been, but still plenty of room for improvement.

This was definitely an improvement over last week, and Macho Libre up and grabbing the mic just like The Zombie did had me laughing before he even made fun of Macho, made fun of Macho, dig it. If ECW can continue to show improvement, and some new blood gets themselves involved on the roster, this is going to be a show worth watching, even if they continue the WrestleCrap of the Week segments.

Also, I actually like the "Shelly Martinez Tarot Recap" segment, and hope they keep using it. It's distinctive without being too heavy-handed.

Now THIS is the show that the new ECW should have began with. Overall, much better, although I'm not sure yet if that's saying much. The more we get to see some differentiation from the other WWE brands the better. And the small touches in terms of production are a good start to doing that, although the ECW broadcasts need to dispense with the WWE-style graphics, recaps and in-match replays. Far too similar to RAW and SD!.

Also, we really do need to see more ECW "Rebels" (gosh that sounds silly), and actually see them, I dunno, play SOME type of prominent role. This should happen over time, hopefully.

Three other things-- when the heck did Del Wilkes teach Randy Orton how to throw dropkicks?! I mean, Orton's were pretty good before, but damn! I totally agree with Packman about that dropkick (I STILL don't like Orton, though).

RVD's promo was HORRIBLE. Maybe he was reverting back to his good ol' ECW self there, kinda' like Cypress Hill-- Stoned is the way of the walk...

And, was I the only one who was hoping that Kelly would mess up with the bra again, as some kind of angle development? At least there *is* an angle attached to it now. And BTW, regarding Kelly, she is one FINE chick!

I think I'll be tuning in next week. But enough blabbing from me for now.

Actually, the guy who covered up Kelly was Mike Knox of Deep South (at least according to Dave Meltzer). He had been having dark matches on Raw as a lead in, and I guess they gave him something to do.

I only saw the last ten minutes of the show, but I had read on another board that the crowd was still dead the whole show. But I read you guys and it sounds like the crowd was great. Hmm...whom to believe??

Yeah, but aren't tarot cards supposed to tell the future? All Boobarella could see with them was the recent past. I think she's doing something wrong with them. Also, how exactly are we supposed to know who she is and what she has to do with anything? I mean, besides being the chick with boobs who tells us what happened last week.

The "Philly" show I was at had the same lineup and results. But...at my show, this Montez Ford guy had bright red shoes and the crowd picked up on it to the point of inserting that into the usual Bayley songs.
