Quick: As I'm watching it on tape from having to work.
Opening: Heyman opens saying he's the reason they are in MSG tonight. Interupted by Sabu who clears Heyman's riot squad. Reminds us Sabu is in the Extreme Rules match against Big Show for the ECW Championship.
Match #1: RVD vs Hardcore Holly. Couple of blown spots yet ok match. Leads to a three man run in of Knox, Stevie, and Test. RVD in trouble. Que Sandman music. In comes Sandman w/ Cane and Tommy Dreamer. They clean house. RVD hits frog splash on Stevie after the fact. Winner by DQ: RVD.
Match #2: CM Punk vs "The Reject" Shannon Moore. After last week CM Punk called Shannon Moore a poser. CM Punk can back up his word as he was crisp with almost all his moves and NYC know's CM Punk is as he got a huge chant. Winner by submission: CM Punk
Match #3: Rene Dupree vs Balls Mahoney. They show Kevin Thorn sitting beside the ring. Balls gets most of the offence off and actually looks like he's going to win until Thorn interferes. Winner: Rene Dupree by pinfall.
Match #4: Extreme Rules Match. Sabu vs Big Show for the ECW World Championship in MSG. Sabu trying to go after Big Show but how do you take him on? Clotheline takes down Sabu and Big Show starts punishing him. Standing on the chest of Sabu using the ropes. Crowd Chant: Big Show Sucks. Sabu shot to the balls. Chair shots galore by Sabu. Camuel clutch but Big Show reverses into a side slam. Attempt a big boot but Sabu ducks and Show hung on the top rope. Sabu nails him to the outside. Chant: We want tables. Big Show going for the Choke Slam but reverse into a DDT through a TABLE inserted by the riot squad. Show goes through a table on the outside. Sabu to the outside but Show recovers and attempt to drive him to the post. Sabu shoves Show into post. Climbs in the ring. Triple jump into a caught and CHOKESLAM into a table. Riot squad throws a prone Sabu into the ring. Corba Clutch into backbreaker. Show Stop! Apparently a standing leg drop into a sitting one. 1...2...3! Big Show retains...watch him this Sunday with Vince and Shane in Hell in Cell against DX.
Well, now that Sabu has tried and failed for at least the third (maybe the fourth?) time to wrest the ECW Title away from Big Show, can we give someone else (on the ECW roster) a shot at the belt already?

Liked Heyman's promo, liked the originals FINALLY banding together to even the odds against the new guys, liked Striker.
Didn't like weeks of a Shannon Moore buildup leading to him getting squashed in two minutes. They could've at least done an old school ECW cruiser style match.
I truly love Kelly Kelly's promos. Her coming on to Punk and admitting she's only 19 probably inspired about 80 fan fic pieces last night (also, an interesting nod to Punk's indy fanbase who followed his exploits at less reputable messageboards than this.)

That'd be an interesting sight at a nightclub-- the underage hot chick who's too young to drink, and the 20-something, tough-looking, tattooed wrestler who chooses not to drink.
I, too, by the way, was expecting DX to interfere and help Sabu win the ECW Title. Though for some reason the words "DX could be under the riot gear" didn't enter my mind. It would've been the most logical way to do it, though.

I made that assumption for a second, but then realized that it wouldn't make much sense given that they were completely laid out last night to sell Vengeance. It would've undermined the effect of the beat-down the previous night on RAW.
I actually didn't think ECW was all that bad last night. Part of it was the atmosphere, and part of it was finally some booking that made sense (Heyman's promo and the "Originals" banding together). And call me crazy, but I like them having Richards turn on the Originals and join up with the WWE guys. Unfortunately, he was just there to eat cane shots and frog splashes, so the cynic in me says this'll be completely dropped.
The Dupree/Balls match actually wasn't that bad. Balls is in better shape than he's been in for quite some time (alleged Wellness Policy violations aside). I liked Dupree doing the elbow drop off the first rope and Tazz yelling out "that's supposed to be extreme? C'mon." It reminded me of Steve Corino's early "old school" character (where he'd tease spots and not follow through - like when he grabbed a chair, said he was going to use it, then sat down on it while he applied a headlock), and I hope they keep going that route with him.
Kelly Kelly is useless other than as an excuse to get Mike Knox involved in a feud. The ends don't justify the means in this case, especially since the ends suck to begin with.
I was not expecting Dx last night. The setup for HIAC (almost always the gimmick match used to blow off a feud), ended on Raw with the faces getting squashed right before the PPV. Perhaps this is too much wishful thinking on my part, but this looks like it is following formula for the end of the feud. If Dx had interfered with Show last night, there'd be less incentive for fans to buy the PPV as Dx already would have had some revenge.
(edited - sorry Deputy Marshall already beat me to this point!)
Hardcore Holly looks like he has maintained a lot of physique, despite the wellness policy. I enjoyed his match with RVD. His dropkick into RVD coming off the ropes was pretty cool. I liked Tazz noting that Hardcore normally doesn't leap from the ring like that, he's more a smash guy.
I liked Heyman's explanation - and his delivery. He really is a talent on the mic.
The crowd sure has fun when Balls comes out.
I agree with ekedolphin, Sabu doesn't belong in the main event anymore. He is fun to watch, but is clearly overmatched by Show. Show catching a leaping Sabu with a chokehold, into a chokeslam through the table, was a highlight and definitely a crowd pleaser.
I'm really interested to see where they go with the whole Joey/Ariel situation, yeah, it's probably nothing important, but it has me thinking, what's gonna happen?
Strange to see FBI and CM Punk after the match, but it'll pass.
I agree with AngryJohnny as well, long build up of Shannon Moore coming in only to get his ass handed to him, and sorry, I know they probably don't want two guys using Punk in the name, but "Prince of Punk" sounds a helluva lot better than "The Reject".
I've been wondering this for a while now...ECW has been picked up for the next year or so, when do they decide to introduce the ECW TV title? Maybe a good ole title tourney?? I'd suggest the Tag titles too, but yeah, that ain't happenin.
