I can see this was such a thrilling show that everyone was rushing to talk about it.

Mark Henry and Matthew Hardy had an opening promo. Matthew came out and basically lied to the people about a 5-man match being the toughest match of his career (he's had a few I can think of!), but then said he wanted to become the greatest ECW champion EVER. Good luck topping Justin Credible (who if you say his name really quickly sounds like Just Incredible.) Mark Henry wants a rematch, attacks Matthew, Matthew gets him out of the ring then delivers the Twist of Fate to Tony Atlas. I hope he didn't break his cell-a phone.

John Morrison and Evan Bourne, who should have been at the PPV instead of Miz and Finlay, had a pretty decent match which ended with Miz "distracting" Bourne and Morrison hitting a nasty spinning kick off the apron for the win. Is Bourne on a losing streak now? I believe he is.

New guy who calls himself The All-American American, uses someone's old theme song (I can't remember whose but damn it sounded familiar. Anyone know who used the Gymini's song before them, too?), and had a REALLY fucking goofy smile beat some jobber. I'd say after Evan Bourne, this was the best debut of the new Talent Initiative yet. More Jack Swaggers and less Gavin Spears and Ricky Ortizs, please.

A silly backstage promo with Ortiz, Matthew, Finlay, and Hornswaggle leads to the main event, decent tag match between Matthew and Finlay vs Henry and Knox. It ends with Hardy pinning Knox, of course.

Probably one of the better ECW episodes lately, in my opinion. I like the focus on Morrison and Bourne, and the newcomer debut was actually impressive for a change.

Jamie Noble from like five years ago, but it's stock music so you've probably heard it lots of places.

But he won on Monday.

I surely agree (although I'd take Bourne over Chavo), but my guess is that they first intended to have Morrison in the match due to common sense, and then decided that since the show was in Miz's hometown, they'd give him John's spot in the match as a nice gesture.

Hasn't the philosophy the past 5 years or so been to make someone look bad in their hometown?

I believe this philosophy only applies to faces. But in any event, they chose a fine way to honor him in Cleveland, in that he was pinned about 80 times in that scramble.
