In past years, I believe they've given full WM payoffs to guys in the pre-show battle royal or Heat match (meaning, the guys got the same amount that they would have if their match was on the PPV itself).

Selling an injury from the loss to Umaga last week? Reinjured his foot? Planning a departure to ROH? Wished well in future endeavours? No idea.

    Bad example :)

I'm just hoping the broadcast will be available to Canadian viewers. We're already shafted when it comes to viewing HEAT online...I haven't tried watching ECW online, but then again, we get that on broadcast TV here.

Stevie is now in the battle royal in place of Matt Striker.

Surely this suggests Striker focusing his energies on using his shrewd intellect to maneuver his associate Big Daddy V into a last-minute spot in the Money in the Bank match.

Or to change the entire face of the match for Brand Supremacy by getting the most dominating force in the Land of Extreme and the entire WWE added to it.

That would be sweet, plus he could take the fall.

Why not just have Benoit wrestle HHH one-on-one? The HHH-HBK thing has been resovled so many times in past matches that HBK really isn't necessary to this match. Benoit won the Rumble, HHH has the belt. HBK has no business in this match.
