Jesse and Festus vs Miz and Morrison. Mizz pins Jesse after Morrison pulls his head onto the ropes from outside. Good match.
Hooray for the ECW/SD talent exchange. Boo for extensive SD recaps.
Elijah Burke brings out Shelton Benjamin again. Probably the best straight promo Shelton's ever done (as far as that means anything).
Shelton Benjamin vs Shannon Moore. Shelton wins after a mean weird DDT with the head underhooked rather than overhooked (praphrasing Tazzzz). The crowd don't care about Shannon Moore.
Big Daddy V vs Kane, Extreme Rules. Pretty slow, lumbering and what you'd expect until Mark Henry comes out. They doubleteam Kane until he goes through a table and Large Father V gets the pin. Not that exciting.

| #3 Posted on 28.11.07 1436.50 | Big Daddy V vs Kane - actually was starting to interest me and the crowd when they started using tables and trash cans. Nice little cut that V got on his arm. V's knees are so bad, he can barely get in and out of the ring anymore. But just as the crowd was getting interested in the match and shouting (ECW, ECW, ECW)... They send in Mark Henry to totally ruin the flow and heat of the match. And damn it, why is Kane only a high-profile jobber these days??????? Crowd would have popped big time had V sold a choke slam from Kane into the table.
Women's match was awful. God, I wish the WWE would hire a few more "real" women wrestlers besides Victoria and Phoenix. TNA shows you can be beautiful and wrestle at the same time.
Looks like Burke and Benjamin are going to be chasing for the belt. I hope this goes well for Benjamin, he's a great wrestler.
Watching smackdown rebound, Undertaker has to be one of the strongest men out there in order to get Vikki's fat rear up for that piledriver.

Punk is going to be on Smackdown this Friday.

I'd personally like to put out a Missing Person's Report on Armando Estrada. I thought the heel GM was always on the show.

He took what was a dead tired crowd and got them into the match (it helped that they hate Miz and that the tag champs can bounce around for the former Imposter Kane). Shelton's match was decent as well.
It was the first and last matches on ECW that took it down from good to just average.

Surprisingly good match out of the guy though.

Festus is hot with the crowds. I noticed it last week. They love his gimmick.

It's a really entertaining one and easy to get behind. "Oh crap the brain dead yokel is gonna go crazy!! Woo!!"
Also, Jesse is pretty decent to watch in the ring as well. I personally love big-power-man/small-agile-man tag teams so these guys are great in my book. | Hokienautic

I don't watch Smackdown often, but my understanding is that he goes crazy when the bells rings and calms when it rings again, correct?
If that's right, I'm really looking forward to the day one of his opponents gets the bright idea to "earmuff" him with their hands over his ears as the bell's ringing. Either that, or someone who wants him to stay crazy *after* a match steals the ring bell. | Matt Tracker

Yes, except his calm state is portrayed as extreme retardation to the point of being a vegetable. The tongue protrudes, his eyes are glassy. He ain't there. The bell rings, and he become an angry guy who knows wrestling moves.
It feels like Eugene v.2.

I'm surprised some chickenshit heel hasn't tried to steal the bell and ring it during a match to make him docile again. | sentonBOMB

Miz/Morrison suggested that idea while doing commentary during a Jesse/Festus match, but then never actually did it during their match with them. | Hokienautic

What if we get into a situation where there's a total beatdown going on in the ring, where the bell is rung in long bursts over and over again? Does he go from calm to angry to calm to angry again? Hell, I'd even laugh if someone gets new ring music that's full of bells. Ooh -- BRING BACK THE DING DONGS!! | Big Bad

I figured the logical next step for the team is to lose a match via a heel ringing the bell, and then to get a manager to specifically prevent the heels from grabbing the bell during a match. It would be a funny moment in the Royal Rumble if Jesse has to accompany Festus to the ring and then sound the bell mid-match to get Festus fired up.
BTW, Jesse is a hell of a wrestler. He looks like the most fundamentally-sound prospect WWE has brought in in a long time. He's Terry Gordy's son, right? | Peter The Hegemon

Forgive me for this, but...
all I could think of here is what he'd be like during a ten bell salute. (Let's hope he'd stay out of character.) |
