1) Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust defeated Trent Baretta & Calyen Croft, earning a shot at the Undisputed Tag Team Championship next week 2) Ezekial Jackson defeated Perry Wallace 3) Shelton Benjamin beat Vance Archer in a no disqualification match
Next week will have * Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust vs ShowMiz for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship * Ezekial Jackson vs Christian (c) for the ECW Championship
I have a thing for dying shows.
Nice of them to give us one wooden Tiffany promo. Also, if I ever have to fire someone, I'm now going the "you're a free agent, you can sign with anyone you want!" route.
Koslov wasn't at the meeting. Who else? Tyler Reks seems to have been gone for a while, but maybe he was still turning up on Superstars.
Crowd was really into Tatsu/Goldust, and for good reason. Goldust was great in finding every way to be denied the hot tag for a while there, and the crowd was thrilled when he finally made it. (Crazy trip out of the ring on the last bulldog, too.) I thought maybe Yoshi busted Croft's nose on the top rope wheel kick. Not sure, because he was bleeding quickly.
You never totally know how things are going to run out for people - might not have guess that one of the Edgeheads would've gotten a second life, and couldn't have been sure which one it'd be - but Caylen & Trent have questionable futures. Goldust has a million lives, so not too worried about him. I hope Yoshi has a really great first appearance where ever he ends up - he should be good in the same spot on the other shows as a midcard face with a character, but so could Jimmy Wang Yang and I'm not even sure he's around anymore.
William Regal is so great, still. I have absolutely no idea what they do with him but they need to do something more with than stand near Zeke. Zeke on RAW is going to be a bad idea (feud with Mark Henry, obviously!) but Zeke on SD! is not much better.
Josh referred to next week's ECW title match as the last ECW title match ever, which might mean they're just dropping it. Josh could've just slipped.
It was awkward to hear the announcers hype a extreme rules match for next week, and then hype the no disqualification match, as if they were two different sets of rules.
Shelton's promo was good, for Shelton. I guess he'll be given a chance elsewhere, but as much as he didn't want to be on ECW, it seemed he was on ECW because no one else wanted them on their shows. I'm not sure that's really changed.
The blood stoppage here killed the match, not that anyone was really into the match. I probably would know this if I paid more attention, but I wonder if they would've paused the opener if it was designed to go longer. Do bloody noses get match stoppages too?
Cute how both black & gold wrestlers won in Louisiana. Wonder if they meant to do that, or it just worked out that way. Too bad no one ever thought to have them team!

Kozlov was there- I definitely saw him in the background in one of the shots. And I love how Tiffany still had a smiled plastered on her face when she announced that everyone (and presumably herself) would be gone and that ECW is being cancelled.
It was SUPER lame to stop for blood and not edit it out. Given the noticeable edits in Shelton's prematch promo, clearly they WERE editing tonight's show ahead of time, so why not fix this too?
She's insatiable and she needs a boyfriend!
I was kinda hoping that William Regal would be demanding Tiffany's final decision be a rematch for the ECW Championship for the most deserving man, and so on, and so on, but then instead of saying "Ezekiel Jackson" he'd say "William Regal." But that's just fantasy booking.
Zeke saying he'd be the last champion sure seems to lead to a retired belt as of next week, but maybe his idea isn't necessarily the championship committee's idea...but that's just fantasy booking.
I wasn't looking very hard - was Helms in the big meeting? (Or Hurricane?)
Reks HAS been on Superstars, but I don't know how recently, because I've missed every episode since August. EDIT: I checked a results page and apparently, not since November. Hmmm, that's been just about 90 days...?
I like YoshiDust, but they're SO getting killed by the unstoppable juggernaut that is ShowMiz next week.
Hope Christian/Zeke can put on a better show next week than at the Rumble. I doubt Christian loses the title, as they want to send the champ out strong. It's too bad, because they could have easily sent Christian into Raw as the guy with the most momentum coming out of ECW before they fed him to Sheamus last night. But I still think Captain Charisma goes on a tear once he hits Raw/SD.
I'm guessing Kozlov gets sent off to greener pastures in the next few weeks. I think his window with the "E" has closed.

Good luck getting that theme song out of your head

Yang has teamed with Slam Master J (Jesse of Festus fame), and they apparently work dark matches for SmackDown.

I suppose we'll have to forget he was the last guy to cleanly pin Undertaker.

Why is everyone so surprised about the ECW title retiring when ECW is no more and the champion is guaranteed to be leaving with the challenger probably leaving also?
Good show, ECW will close out with a bang if Christian/Zeke lives up to my hype.
Tiffany has grown on me during her time as GM. She didn't really pander, she just did her job and took no BS. I think she has a character that can be developed and turned into something good.
Tiffany put on a real brave face. Clearly she just saw Up In The Air.
It is fitting that Big Show and Miz, two of the five greatest ECW on SciFi Extremists of all time, will return for the final show. Which should end with Colin Delaney achieving his lifelong dream of becoming ECW champion.
