Matches

-"Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin & Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas def. M.V.P. & Christian.

Returning to action!
-Evan "Air" Bourne def. Jamie Noble via SSP.

-Finlay w/ Hornswoggle def. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea

The Irish go over on St. Patrick's Day!

Promos:

-ECW Champion: Jack Swagger talks comes out and talks a bit.

-The Dirt Sheet w/ Miz and Morrison.
Accompanied by the Bella Twins. Both holding the slammy's. One of them seem's pretty disinterested in being around Miz and Morrison. The show highlight of them defeating Primo and Carlito the Colon brother.

Then they put "Assy Mcgee" masks on with fluffy hair making fun of the Colon's. Out come Primo and Carltio and start an the Cabana Reel.

Book a match. Winner take at all at Mania for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team championship. "Be Jealous" and Carlito spits apple hitting one the twins. The one that likes Miz and Morrison. Which brings the two sisters to a catfight. Show goes off with Colon brothers in the ring and Miz and Morrison heading up the ramp.

Probably the best booked ECW in weeks. Decent matches, nothing to write home about but at least wrestling, yes actual wrestling, on a wrestling show.

***EDIT***
Mod's, logo please. Thank you. :-) Have a nice night.

Todd Grisham may not be the best overall PBP in the business today (I don't know, maybe he is...) but the man knows how to close a match. Billy Mays couldn't have sold Evan Bourne better than Todd and Matt did.

While I don't expect the Bellas to stay exploded for very long, this is the first time I've seen some signs of life.

This whole angle is intriguing to me because it's such a weird thing to see four people who engage in regular quip-fests against each other but never venture into the "blood feud." Outside of their scheduled matches you'd think they were Zack and Slater.

That is a great analogy, and I think they are specifically doing the "Dance off" competition episode where Kelly went with Slater and Jessie went with Zack.

If Dustin Diamond does a run-in at WM 25, I will buy 25 copies of Wrestlemania XXV.

I'm guessing Screech/Diamond would go with the cool jerks, filling the whole run-in with the extreme lulz. At least for me.

I thought the one who got the aplle in the face was the bitchy one who didn't want anything to do with Miz?
That was the only part I saw, but at least I got to see M&M. Carlito bachanding Primo after he said "Welcome..... to Primo's Cabana!" was fucking hi-larious, too. I need some velcro palm trees for our deck, too. Have the kids come running out of the garage hunched over all roadie style carrying said trees every time a neighbor comes over. Sweet.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see a tag title unification match with the Colons added to the card. They've been fighting each other for weeks, and the Colons have already defended their titles (dq finish), and Miz/Morrison are defending theirs this Friday (I think?), which I think will probably go to another non-finish. I mean, it sure looks to me like they're going to a title vs. title, and it's not like there are really enough tag teams to justify more than one championship.

Not that it required any kind of amazing predictive abilities, but I feel a little bit better about myself.

I'm hoping that with the unification match, we're going to see more emphasis put on tag team wrestling ... but I also feel that this may be the E's way of finally splitting the Miz/Morrison team after the draft.

So with the belts unified, there'll be these teams vying for one set of titles: Legacy, Cryme Tyme, Jesse and Festus, TBK and Zeke, Mizorrison, The Colons, the Fighting Irish, the Invisible Team of Ryder and Hawkins...I think that's it. Having one set of champs hopping brands to face all comers will help, but even when merged the tag division still kinda sucks.

I don't see then unifying the belts, I see Miz and Morrison winning so they can each carry around two belts and a Slammy. In fact, I think they should see this thing through to its logical end; they wind up with the Bella twins, one week they show up with a giant trophy after winning a bowling tournament in Rio de Janiero, Morrison wins King of the Ring so he gets a crown, Miz attacks Hornswoggle and steals the Cruiserweight title belt, Morrison finds the WCW TV title backstage in a trash can...

I would never miss another episode of ECW again if they did this.

He could take them both and walk out wearing Hornswoggle AND the title on the faceplate of a new belt: the Cruiserweight Champion Championship.

I haven't seen that many black guys in/near the ring since the Nation of Domination days.

When the "Wrestlemania Moments" voiceover hits I always laugh to myself that the guy is pretty much about to say the sentence "The 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania, celebrating 25 years of Wrestlemania". I also miss the promos that mentioned "Everything is bigger in Texas -- Especially Wrestlemania!"

I would think unifying the titles would be just the opposite; since there's only one set of titles, you can cut back on the number of tag teams you have.

Well, it's not as if they have a ton of tag teams to cut back on, but you're probably right. Myself, I was hoping they'd book Punk/Benjamin in a IC/US Title Unification. Then you could have just had Bourne and Rey booked in the MitB.

While I do have no problem with Bourne/Kidd feuding at some point I was sort of hoping they'd do a quick build to Swagger/Bourne at Mania.

Unite the tag belts and have the champs feud with Ziggler and Kidd.

Not only that, I would DVR it and never delete it. This angle would be gold, especially with Striker's awaesome commentary.

"Marriage is like that show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, but it’s not funny. All the problems are the same, but you know instead of all the funny, pithy dialogue, everybody is really pissed off and tense. Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond', only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever."

It is on my comcast as well. Channel 220 USA HD. Good show. I am sick of people jobbing to the tadpole splash though, even if it is just the Highlanders or Coach.
