Shame that Adamle used the obvious Bourne Identity while eschewing the equally obvious Air Bourne. So did they call him Matt Sydal last week so that everybody who know OF Matt Sydal but had never seen him would at least know who he was before they dumped him on us with a highly trademarkable name we'd never heard before? Man, talk about playing to a niche within the niche. In fact, that's such a nuanced technique I'm sure that they couldn't possibly have intended it and instead just forgot that they needed to have a name for him last week...probably because at the last minute somebody decided to put him on TV. Oh well, I'm sure Meltz will have The Rest of The Story. Now bring on D'Lo Brown! (If D'Lo Brown shows up on Smackdown, I swear I didn't read any spoilers and didn't know that ahead of time - it's all I can do to watch ECW by ... checking calendar ... Wednesday night)
Well, I had never heard of him, and when I read that he was from the St Louis area, and had wrestled in Gateway Championship Wrestling, I looked up some video of him. I am fairly sure I've seen him before on some local cards, but he looks much more polished than when I saw him.
Taylor's jump to the WWF may be the ultimate bad career move. Taylor was a fairly successful wrestler with a decent moveset and a good reputation. Then he came to the WWF, became the Red Rooster - and the rest is history.
