You're just being informative. And I agree with you. You can't really watch Punk beat Justin Credible in three minutes and think "oh, so this is the great C.M. Punk, big whoop." He didn't make his reputation doing JTTS squashes.
Also, he might not be doing moves that make you jump up out of your seat, (understandably) underwhelming people who have high expectations based on the drones (not you) that this guy is the be-all end-all. But his push has worked -- he's pretty over with the live crowd, who've responded to the way he's been debuted, slowly built up, and protected.
Actually, you touched on an interesting point there. I read somewhere a few months ago that Vince was considering taking in fan ideas and plots and whatnot, I suppose in the same way that Paramount used to allow Trek fans to submit scripts.
