Not much to say...

Hardcore Holly ends the CM Punk winning streak.

Khali destroys Dreamer.

Kevin Thorn defeats "The Reject" Shannon Moore

and

In a rematch from last week as voted by who ever is actually watching ECW and signing on the website.

Lashley and RVD gets thrown out after Test, who had the night off, interferes. Leaves RVD laying on the outside and Lashley in the ring. Earlier in the show he said he'd been "overlooked" for an ECW title shot. I guess that was his way to make everybody remember him.

CM Punk, the most original, over guy on the show, has his unbeaten streak ended by Hardcore fuckin' Holly. Smart move, WWE.

I thought they were going to use that non-finish last week, but nope! Last week went to a no-contest after a flying clothesline to the announce table by RVD. Hooray for two weeks of non-decisive endings! Is it too early to be making Thunder! comparisons?

But I will bet you cash money that Punk makes Holly tap out sometime within the next month.

I'm not too broken up over CM Punk getting beat. Like Karlos said, Holly will tap to Punk, which is a more decisive victory ... but if he doesn't, then there lies the problem ...

I think the point was that he already did the week before, just it didn't officially count because the ref was knocked out or the match was already over or something.

I watched until the end of the Punk/Holly match, couldn't believe the outcome, swore off watching WWECW for a while.

It's my fault. I predicted that since Ace Steel was the fake Donald Trump, and people dared boo that match last night in front of Vince, and Ace trained CM Punk, that the only proper thing to do was blame Ace for the segment sucking, and punish CM Punk.

Seriously though, its good that they used an angle they built for months and months to give a young up and comer like Bob Holly the rub, this ought to push him into the big time.

Yeah, because Kurt Angle ending the winning streak on Samoa Joe did wonders....

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

Actually, Boston Legal is back and new, meaning that I don't even realize I've missed ECW until hours afterward.

Ahh to paraphrase...somebody (Foley?): I didn't watch it, but I sure as hell didn't miss it.

The trouble with Holly began when they turned him heel after the audience embraced him as a legit tough guy.

The trouble with Holly began when he was called Thurman.

Bob Holly is a good guy to have around in a promotion (in the booking sense at least). He's always going to be able to put on a decent match, he has a character that can be inserted quickly into an angle, and he's not likely to ever do anything to screw up your plans. That said, Bob Holly is midcard for life, no matter if its Raw, Smackdown, or ECW. And it seems to me that a guy who you seemingly have very high hopes for in Punk, you don't end that streak with little fanfare to a career midcarder. Even if he comes back and roars over Holly and makes him tap, he's still only tapped out Bob Holly, the 9th or 10th most over guy on the ECW roster. This seems to me to be the kind of feud where Holly has nothing to gain by winning, since even squashing Punk wouldn't make a dent in the decade plus long perception of Bob as a midcarder. OTOH, Punk really only gains in this feud with a clean going-over. This sort of back-and-forth booking only serves to devalue Punk while doing nothing much for Holly. I don't think Punk should have had a Goldberg like march to the ECW title, but at least make his first loss meaningful, and moving towards something more important than maybe making Bob Holly tap out if he's lucky.

Nice to see Brad Armstrong has made such an impression during his (three? four?) appearances that NOBODY'S mentioned him ONCE during his ENTIRE run as guest (and now, apparently full-time) commentator. I especially enjoy when he calls people "kid" who may in fact be older than him.

Did ANYBODY figure out how The Great Khali could show up on RAW with all that "expired contract" nonsense, yet appear at ECW the next day with nobody saying a DAMN thing about it? (Also, is GREAT KHALI the guy you want appearing on multiple shows? ALSO, is GREAT KHALI the guy you want wrestling on LIVE television? Did I mention, HE KILLED A MAN)

I like to start doing my impersonation of Sandman's music about ten seconds before I think it's going to start. It only amuses my wife, rather than impressing her. It's tough when the booking holds no secrets for anyone.

Ditto Test's appearance in the main event, although they had me going for most of the match - I figured Lashley would dispense with RVD and everyone would have TWO things to bitch about on the message board (as opposed to just whining about how "they" "blew it" with CM Punk, the saviour of a generation, going down at the hands of mean ol' nasty stinky overpushed untalented Hardcore Holly - rolling eyes here again - seriously, if Umaga's not gonna stay undefeated then shut up about the need to keep CM Punk undefeated) but as soon as Lashley had the longer-than-usual pause after hitting HIS MOVE! you knew the run-in was coming and there was only one man it could be.

Speaking of Test, since he decided not to wrestle, shouldn't they have at least shown his opponent winning via forfeit or something? I'll bet he was scheduled to wrestle CHRISTOPHER W. ANDERSON!!! (More likely, even-more-toothless Balls Mahoney. WHOOOOOOOOOOAH YOURTOOTH'SGONE)

I had one other really exciting, entertaining point but it left me. (I'm sure those responsible for the show feel this way a lot of the time, too! BA DUM BUM)

Is Great Khali the guy you want wrestling at all, let alone challenging the WWE World Champion?

He was talking about Holly and that was really strange.

I'm a big fan of Balls! Honestly, they should keep him on the roster just so he can do more interviews for WWE.com. The one where he gives his Thanksgiving recipe is hilarious.

I thought the show was great and really enjoyed it. So was Holly the first one to break the andaconda vice with an eye rake? Also, I'd like to add to the kudos to Brad Armstrong. What a good job he's doing at the announce table.

Umaga wasn't pinned by Kane back in September. Or by Bob Holly, for THAT matter. But I think it's pointless anyway because Punk was already pinned by Rob

To be fair, the commericials for ECW this week (and I think maybe J.R. on RAW) mentioned that since the match was booked before Khali was moved to RAW, Dreamer would still have his match THIS WEEK ON ECW.

Y'know, a lot of weeks people complain about WWE TV. It's like "man, why did Shelton lose that 12 minute match to whomever" or "why did Cena and Edge WRESTLE again?" or "I'm sick of seeing 6 man tags on Raw," etc.

I hope this week shows the difference between "bad" and truly utterly wretched TV.

I'm prolly the last one off the bandwagon but boy is ECW horrible.

Punk losing isn't a big deal though. Really, the WWE is wonky about wins and losses. A lot of guys win every week on Heat, it doesn't mean anything. Look at Mr. Kennedy as an example. No one is going on a Goldberg type streak. I've always thought they want to see if A) you don't freak out after being jobbed on TV B) you stay over C) you keep up the effort.

Punk had to lose eventually and Holly's Holly y'know. He's a lifer.

What scares the hell out of me was reading that the initial plans were to do Khali v. Lashley at WM for the ECW belt. That would have been an, uh, interesting show.

But yeah, Tuesday's show was really bad. The rather interesting stuff with Dreamer was blown off and the main had ANOTHER inconclusive finish.

I do like Ariel and Thorn and Armstrong though.
