So far we've had the Kree invasion, barely stopped by Ms. Marvel, more mystery about Cap as Skrull, we got introduced to Dr. Doom and the Fantastic Four (and that ties in to the Skrulls as well) and the Asgardians made a frightening discovery. Oh, and Hank Pym hired Luke Cage and Iron Fist to find out who stole his Ant-Man gear..only to ask the new guy to become his replacement.
5 episodes, 5 introductions to a larger Marvel Universe. Good stuff
And having just sneaked a peek at upcoming episode titles, things will get even more interesting as we continue to explore the larger M.U.
Right now, I'm not thrilled about the current direction of Pym and Wasp, mostly because I really loved the old direction for them. I'm also kind of curious as to where they plan on taking Captain Mar-Vell. Right now he's locked up in the Negative Zone, but you know it can't end there. I'm dying for them to do a Thanos story, especially since we're getting the Guardians of the Galaxy(including Adam Warlock) this week.
So many geek moments and they were a lot of fun to burn through over the course of a single DVR catch-up day. I mentioned in the last EMH thread that their depiction of Doom is the best I've ever seen in animation. The Heroes for Hire episode was great and this version of Luke Cage and Iron Fist works for me much better than whatever's floating around in Ultimate Spider-Man. And I love the progression of the Secret Invasion storyline, which works so much better in a half-hour TV show format than it does as a nine-month comic event.
Things I didn't like so much? Mar-Vell's been portrayed as kind of a wuss, so the Kree episode didn't really do it for me. Also, the blowoff with the Masters of Evil felt rather anticlimactic. Aside from all that, this season's been aces!
I'm dying to see what they do with the Guardians of the Galaxy, especially Groot and Rocket Raccoon! This would have been an ideal place to debut Richard Rider, but I guess we're getting him later.

"This is DIET Double Dew, Kyle! It only has half the caffeine and sugar of Double Dew!"
Female Qusar? De-powered Adam Warlock? And more Ms. Marvel? Yuck. Did love Rocket Raccoon. I am not a big Guardians guy, but I found these guys rather weak. A Janet tries too hard to do things, because Hank Pym left is a bad way to go in. Not a great episode, but still held my interest enough especially the hints about Captain America being away as well as the interaction between the teammates. I love how Black Panther and Hawkeye are bros as well as smart Hulk.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
It's weird that we have Ms. Marvel and Phyla-Vel, but we still don't actually have Captain Marvel. Loved seeing the Guardians in action, and was pleasantly surprised to see Korvac. And I actually really liked that they have Jan dealing with her failing relationship by trying to patch up other people's relationships. It feels genuine to me - like something someone might actually try to do.
Both shows have been awesome, but I give the edge to Modern Family only because Ty Burrell's Phil has been hysterical. Not that Abed isn't awesome either. I've been enjoying his and Troy's interplay at the end of each episode.
