The light gun looks silly because you hold with two hands but it is too small to hold with two hands. The Mario Kart wheel? Great so there is one game to play it with, that will be worth the money. Maybe if they spent less time making goofy controllers they would have more games that aren't the same thing every single year. I like Mario, I like Zelda, I like Metroid but I'm not buying a system to play four or five games in a year.
Yeah, because I'M so excited about Call of Duty 27 or yet another military shooter with Tom Clancy's name on it. At least the Wii is trying to be innovative. Plus, they could release a new Smash Bros. game every month and I'd buy it.
Speaking of Smash Bros., on the latest update they show that one of the stages is ANIMAL CROSSING and depending on what time of day you play or what time of the year the stage will change. AND! if you play on a Saturday at 8, guess who shows up and sings for you!!!
AND! Dr. Wright from Sim City is a playable character. Seriously. December 3, come sooner!

Actually, if you look at the bottom of that entry, it'll classify Dr. Wright as an "Assist Trophy", meaning he won't be playable. He'll help your guy out, but you won't be able to control him. It's still no less cool and the Assist Trophy line-up is looking awesome. So far, you've got Dr. Wright (Sim City), Samurai Goro (F-Zero), the Hammer Bros., and the Nintendog.
Have I mentioned that December 3 can't come fast enough?

I'm pretty sure Reggie mentioned that during the presentation

Anyone else find it "ominous" that all that talk about Nintendo being serious with its online plans ... and Smash Bros. wasn't highlighted as one of the games taking advantage of said online capabilities?
Maybe I missed it, but it seemed pretty conspicuous by its absence ... and online play isn't even a big deal to me, but I'm sure a lot of people would be disappointed if Brawl didn't have that as a big feature.
I had passed on a Wii a month or so ago when I saw a few of them at a local Wal-Mart and had regretted it since. When I saw 6 of them at Teapot's old Target I couldn't let them pass me again and got one (for the kids of course!).
My 3yo daughter was jumping up and down when we got spares and/or strikes and screaming like a madwoman. She still can't consistently get the holding the "B" button thing down but she was much better at the golf than her old man to start.
I ended up buying Mario Party and Super Monkey Ball later that afternoon hoping that she'll be able to play a lot of the mini-games on MP.
I was in a GameStop in the Mall after that and the employees were telling a customer about how hot the Wii was and that they are nowhere to be found. I immediately interjected and told of the 5 left at the Target I went to that morning and the 5 I had seen at another across town right before we got to the Mall. They immediately headed out to see if they were still left.
We don't have it hooked up to the internet as of yet as it won't be in the kids playroom until we get a new tv for it. Is there a broadband connection or do you have to hook it directly into a phone line?
Thanks for all the Wii info you fine folks keep posting!
