Let's see if I got this all...

PSP Go announced. $249/249E on 10/01
- (Sony: "Worst Kept Secret of E3")
- 50% smaller, 40% lighter, 16 GB
- able to download directly from the store to the PSP
- All PSP games from this point on will be purchasable on PSN
- new MediaGo for better PC/PSP transfers
- new SenseMe PSP app to pick music by your mood
- a white version was shown in some demos

- Sony is making it cheaper to make PSP games (80% cheaper tool kits)
- UMD PSP will still be sold, UMD will continue to be supported

- PS3 video service now available directly from PSP
- New adds: Showtime, G4, E!, and UFC

* Gran Turismo for PSP (10/01, PSP Go Launch)
- 60 FPS
- 800 Cars, 35 tracks (and various layouts of those tracks)
- 4 player multiplayer for ad-hoc races
- playable at E3

* Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (10/01 - PSP GO launch)
- set 10 years after MGS3

* Castlevania: Bloodlines (11/10/09)
* Resident Evil Portable (2010)

* PSN Hype
- Adding more than 50 PS1 games this year, including Final Fantasy VII being released today
- Home is better than it was at launch

PS3:
* Agent (exclusive)
- spy game? no footage.

* Assassin's Creed 2 (holidays)
- Italy, renaissance time, using Leonardo de Vinci's flying machine
- he can swim
- PSP game (AC: Bloodlines) will unlock weapons in PS3 game.

* Final Fantasy
- XIII (spring 2010)
- XIV Online (ALSO 2010) PS3 exclusive (or maybe not - "the only console that FF14 will be on when it launches" - sounds more to me like 360 will just have to wait a few months). Video shown.

* PS3 wiimote in the works (spring 2010)
- EyeToy camera can track the position of the controller, and there's all sorts of stuff shown possible
- lots of possibilities of how it could work in gameplay
- all examples are just examples, no games

* LittleBigPlanet
- Disney Characters coming this fall

* ModNation Racers - kart racing via LBP (2010)
- design your racers
- design your tracks, in real time + sharing levels, just like LBP; sounds easier than level creating in LBP
- realistic physics engine

* The Last Guardian (?) (aka 'Trico')

* Gran Turismo 5 (?)
- includes NASCAR (?)
- includes car damage
- no gameplay actually shown

* God of War III (March 2010, PS3 exclusive)

and that's it.

Wow. After watching Nintendo and Microsoft blow people out of the water, Sony goes in with stuff we already knew about. No word on DC online which I thought would be a way to counter the Star Wars Old Republic trailer. It also makes me nervous that this game will not be coming out on time. I will say the 35 games exclusively for Sony came off a bit childish after the Metal Gear Solid 360 announcement.

The other interesting story about E3 was Atari leaving early when due to marketing issues. I guess Ghostbusters is their last gasp. Not a bad franchise to beat the house on though.

I hope the new Castlevania game isn't as difficult as the last one. That game was incredibly hard.

The PSP Go doesn't impress me. I wish the guys at Sony would put out the PSP2 or whatever else. Wonder how UMD games will be supported on the new system...? A USB reader that will transfer the games onto the memory stick micro? I think I'll stick with my PSP-2000, thank you very much.

Is Final Fantasy XIV going to be online, a la FFXI? I really hope not.

I'm still waiting on a keyboard attachment for the PSP, and a new NASCAR game for that platform.

downloading FF7 right now! For me, the announcement of 50 PS1 games this year was underrated. There's no reason they should be so behind the other systems on classic games, but including the 2 they added today (Metal Gear Solid? Which they probably should've mentioned?), they've only managed to get out 30, and many of those aren't so good.

during long pauses of updates (when they were showing videos we weren't seeing - it's 2009, how isn't this streamed live?), I was doing the conversion match on the 249Euro price point for the GO and trying to figure out how many buy in the US, sneak into Europe and sell for a discounted 200Euro to turn a profit on the whole bit. 249 Euros is $356; y'all are getting ripped off.

If Sony doesn't put that out, surely some 3rd party will - or maybe it'll be something where you transfer them from your UMD PSP to your computer, and then sync them to the Go. But I wonder if they'll just start re-releasing the top games in the store.

Sorry, it is. Don't have especially high hopes for that. I kind of wonder if the quick turnaround is linked to FF13 being unexclusive after all - maybe SquareEnix figured there wouldn't be enough PS3s by Spring of 2010 and asked just to make the next exclusive instead, and Sony still gets a 2010 exclusive FF as a compromise.

Castlevania game sounds like it's going to be a remake of a previous game rather than a new one.

Sony really could've done a better job arranging it's presentation. If they ended with the P-mote, then it's nice Big Idea For 2010 (though the lack of an actual mention of a game which will actually be using it makes me not believe much in it). If they ended with the reveal of FF14, then it's the big surprise. Maybe they expected everyone to be more excited about seeing God of War III footage, I dunno.

The only new game I came out of this interested in was kart racer. And there, I'm not as interested in level creation being really easy, but the ease of finding those good levels after they've been created and published by someone else (which is the pain I had on LBP.)

I wonder if a PSP with custom firmware will do the same thing. Hmmmm....

With a custom firmware update, it's easy to rip games from PSPs and convert them to ISOs or compressed CSO files. I bet that Sony will have that all covered, though.
