I figured someone other than Cubs, James, or False can post this. Well, looks like maybe they've learnt something. Last time The Big N was #1, they took it for granted. They're (argueably) back at the top spot (sales wise they are), and itappears they are not letting up. Of note from Nintendo's keynote;
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii shown, and looks as great as the DS verion does.
- WarioWare: DIY, it will let you CREATE your own WarioWare games. Not only can you have crack, but you can makie it yourself!
- The Wii Vitality Sensor, oen of them finger reader thingys.
- WiiFit Plus announced. New features and stuff. If you liked the first, you'll like this.
- Another Mario & Luigi game was announced, likely will be as awesome as the first.
- Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles trailer shown. As was the Conduit and Dead Space: Extraction.
- Something called Super Mario Galaxy 2, this time with more Yoshi. If they somehow make this as good as the first one while using some awesoemness from SMW, it'll be 11/10.
- And without question (IMHO) the BIGGEST announcement of them all; TEAM NINJA is making a METRIOD ACTION GAME. That's right, TEAM. NINJA. And METRIOD.
I probably missed some, but man they dropped some BOMBS. The pressure has just been turned up on Sony x 100.
(edited by El Nastio on 2.6.09 1334) You know, I really don't know what to put here. Close your eyes and thank of something funny!
Looks like you caught pretty much everything. A friend is in meetings all day and asked me to text him updates. Checking my sent texts, I see Nintendo showed off Kingdom Hearts and a new Mario vs. Donkey Kong (both for DS), but I didn't see much else of note that you didn't already cover.
Wii MotionPlus: I'll get Wii Sports Resort and one extra add-on. No need for more than that at the moment.
Wii Fit Plus... maybe I'd consider it if I actually put effort into using the first one.
Wii Vitality Sensor: WTF, seriously.
WarioWare DIY: sold on day one.
I am not a huge Metroid guy but that Team Ninja game appeals. May have to consider that one.
Things I love: ending paragraphs with the word one.

Will it teach me how to beat a polygraph????
I have no idea whatsoever, but I wouldn't be shocked if they did that.
For those who care (and really, you should); Click Here (wii.ign.com) to see the video shown regarding the Team Ninja/Nintendo collabo now known as Metriod: Other M.

I had a book (The W at Amazon) that said you should keep a tack in your shoe and step on it at the right time to trigger physiological responses (changes in heart rate, breathing, etc.) to trick the machine. Never had an opportunity to try it, though.
Video game threads coming soon, some night when I'm not in the office until 1:30. If someone else wants to start them, it won't hurt my feelings.
There's a Mythbusters about trying to beat the polygraph. If I remember correctly, Grant thinking about being licked by a hundred puppies every time he lied seemed to work the best.

I believe this technique (or a variation thereof) was demonstrated briefly by the character Livingston Dell (played by Eddie Jemison) in the theatrical Comedy/Crime/Thriller known as Ocean's 13.

We all have ways of coping. I use sex and awesomeness.

It was tested by the Mythbusters and proved useless. They were instructed that moving around was not allowed and trying to use a tack in his shoe, or in the thigh was detected by the machine.
I think only one person (Grant) was able the fool the polygraph.
This site Click Here (antipolygraph.org) has serious issues with the "expert" and how the experiment was done. They suggest that the whole experiment was tainted.
