Dynasty Warriors 4 will be coming out this Wednesday in North America. It features 3 new characters, Cao Ren of Wei, Huang Yue Ying of Shu, and Zhou Tai of Wu. Compared to its predecessors, it offers more strategic gameplay, as enemies will now react directly to your actions as opposed to following set patterns. Playing the same stage twice will produce often dramatically different results. You can now level up your weapons by defeating important enemies in battle, and unleashing high-powered combos. The game features 50 stages spread over 17 areas, including new Musou Modes for unaligned characters such as Lu Bu. And, a first for Dynasty Warriors, you will be able to use the new CAW feature (Create a Warrior, not wrestler) to make your own character, choose an appearance and moveset, and play as him through a kingdom's Musou Mode. Dynasty Warriors 4, coming out for the PS2 this Wednesday!
Okay, infomercial over. Though if there are Dynasty Warriors or Romance of the Three Kingdoms fans here, I recommend checking out http://www.kongming.net , one of the premier English sites for the games, and the novel/history behind it.
I was happy that I just finished it a third time (not running through the whole game, just switching my allegiances toward the end of the game), so I could finally stop playing after sinking 60-plus hours into it.
