FX’s new comedy Archer will premiere tonight right after Sunny in Philadelphia. It was originally planned to be part of the fall schedule, but FX just this week pushed the show to January. The premiere/pilot will still air tonight, but silently. Your channel guide will either show Sunny being on from 10 to 11, or you will see “To Be Determined” from 10:30 to 11.
Archer is Adam Reed’s (Sealab 2021) new animated project. It’s sporting a pretty impressive voice cast. I have high hopes for this.
Originally posted by FX NetworkArcher is an animated half-hour comedy set at ISIS, an international spy agency, where global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. The series features the voices of Jon Benjamin as suave master spy "Sterling Archer," whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess"; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, "Malory"; Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, "Agent Lana Kane"; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lanas new love interest, "Cyril Figgis"; and Judy Greer as Malorys lovesick secretary, "Cheryl."
THIS WEEK IN TV, OR THE RETURN OF NETWORK TELEVISION Well technically last week was, with the premiere of Saturday Night College Football. But that's dependent upon the NCAA schedule, so we're not going to count that.
