| #1 Posted on 25.3.03 1148.37 | Instant Rating: 3.87 | I just lucked into a DVD burner, and was thinking about making a backup copy of one or two of my movies. Does anyone have, or know of a not-too-expensive but decent software package that copies DVD movies?
Thanks much.

good luck
he said that it can take up to 8 hours to "burn" a 2 hour movie.
that whole process involves copying the movie from the source, defragging the area, and then the actual burn...
he just leaves it on over night and prays the buffer didn't bottom out and leave him a very expensive coaster...
oh yeah, most 2 hour movies have to be spread across 2 discs...
like i said, good luck...

| #3 Posted on 25.3.03 1849.30 | It sounds like you (Rikidozan) are describing the process of turning a DVD into VCDs. The original post was about backing up DVDs with a DVD burner.
From what I've been led to believe Click Here (dvdxcopy.com) the process takes about 1 hour and makes a copy on one disc.
I have no personal experience with either process, but I get a lot of junk mail advertising this crap
//edit #2: Of course, if I had read more of the article I had open, I might have spoken differently. Here's a review of Dvdxcopy that goes into the details. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,869941,00.asp

Thanks for the links.
