They're both pretty convincing, but I think I'm going to have to believe the one that doesn't end with Mark Henry as champ. I like how even the fake one, whichever it is, accurately predicts both a Henry-Rey feud and the debut of Finlay's leprechaun.

Uh-oh -- looks like people on the message board where the non-Henry-as-champ spoilers originated are doubtful -- and they don't even know about the existence of alternate spoilers. This isn't good.

Especially when there's another set of spoilers that say he got squashed. He's still being punished by Vince and Johnny Ace, and it won't end until the crowd stops caring about him.

However, those spoilers also note a Regal/Birchall tag team match against the Gymini on Velocity which doesn't make any sense because, unless I missed something, they've long since split as a team. And, just based on last year, JBL going after ECW makes a lot more sense than Fit Finlay. A jobber match as the semi-main seems weird, too. I'd bet on the InsidePulse ones.

Let's drop the speculation and either (a) wait until the show airs or (b) somebody can definitively state that their version of the spoilers is what really happened.

They were running the angle of Burchill & Regal teaming with the stipulation Regal had to wear funny costumes until they lost. That seems to have been dropped.
Rumours of JBL wanting to retire after a spell on Raw were flying about also. This may explain Lashley winning the US title.
Watching Smackdown on Friday won't necessarily clear up Henry walking away with the belt, but I would go with this version myself.

| #9 Posted on 24.5.06 1336.20 | I found some more realistic spoilers for this week's Smackdown! :-
Velocity:
Matt Hardy beat Sylvan.
Gunner Scott beat a jobber.
Gregory Helms beat a jobber.
Kid Kash and Jamie Noble, doing their Pitbull gimmick, beat Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki.
Smackdown:
Lashley beat JBL to win US Title.
Tatanka beat Simon Dean.
Mark Henry beat Chris Benoit, then destroyed him after the match.
Brian Kendrick and Paul London beat Nunzio and Vito.
Finlay beat Paul Burchill, then Shortstack (the midget wrestler) showed up.
Rey Mysterio beat JBL to retain the World Title.
When Paul Heyman was shown there, there was mostly no reaction.
The coronation for Booker T was great as well.

I might tape it, just to see the new leprechaun, the Kendrick/London first title defense and to see JBL lose (plus no Great Khali match on the show excites me for some reason).
And to CRZ, you really hate The Thrill, doncha?
