You reminded me of the great old school RPG Dragon Warrior.... decided to bust it out and beat it again. It's just as fun as I rembered. None of this gun or mech crap, this is hardcore, middle-ages war. Thou arts left and right and thees. Also, this RPG is HARD! You go from slimes (weak) to Magicians (strong when you first meet them) to insanely strong creatures like Wyverns and the like quick. You need to level in this game, random battles are a must. Hell, there isn't much plot, but it's fun as crap still. Anyone looking for some oldschool fun, bust out Dragon Warrior (2 and 3 rock too). Now then, I got some Full Plate armor and I'm off to kill about 30 more Goldmen so I can buy me a Flame Sword!

The worst part about game is there is only ONE save point. And when you've got 10 HP back and you're outside the Dragonlord's castle, it's a long way home.

| #3 Posted on 26.2.03 1353.34 | I have an emulator on my work computer for those long nights alone in the office and just two ROMS: Blaster Master and Dragon Warrior. That's all I need.
I love to use the "slimes give 1,000 exp and 500 gold" code on my emulator. It makes Dragon Warrior go a lot quicker (though the Green Dragon is hard no matter what you do!).
By the way, I've always wanted a Shadowgate ROM, but all the ones I've found on the Net are corrupted. Hmmm...whatever shall I do?

Bionic Commando would probably be another fun rom. DW 4 was good, too.

I actually think I might have a Shadowgate ROM that works, I'll check on that.
