Not sure if this should go in the music folder or the random folder.
Anyway, I know I'm not the only one who watches Dragon ball Z around here. My question is for the people who have seen 'The Final Atonement'. The music that plays in the background when Vegeta says "I think I finally understand you.....lets go!", does anyone know if that's an 'official' piece of music that's recurring (sorta like how certian charatcers and/or situations have themes) or if it was just for that scene, cause I wouldn't mind downloding it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is the American version.
I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. Right after he says that line, there a few seconds of music, followed by a completely different beat during the Krillin/Piccolo talking bit. Then there's the 'Dramatic Build' music during Vegeta's powerup, and then they play Vegeta's theme "Hell's Bells" during the explosion. So I've never heard the first two before, and I don't think either of them are available as songs. The second two definately are, though.
Did that help any?

Kazaa is great for downloading this stuff.
"You gotta hate somebody before this is over. Them, me, it doesn't matter."
"Hate, who do I hate? You tell me."
"Who do you love?"

Okay, I've never heard that piece of music before, so I doubt it's got an 'official' song. Most of the ones that have full pieces are used multiple times.

Didn't find anything on Kazaa that sounded like it, but I didn't search that long.

This doesn't have anything to do with the music but I love that scene. Vegeta doing something noble. He always just wanted to be the strongest but with Bu he finnaly realizes he has something more important to worry about. So he powers up and blows himself up in an attempt to kill Bu. But that brings up another question. Vegeta must be in the 10 million power level by that time. Wouldn't he have destroyed the whole planet by doing that? Well, the power levels never did add up.
I just have 13 words for you. How much wood would a woodchuch chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
I don't have any new information to add, I just wanted to say that I was a closet fan of the show (I just started watching about 6 months ago) and that I'm really enjoying the midnight run once I get home from work.
Unfortunately, I also like Dragon Ball more than the Z, because I like the humor of the original a bit more.

Power level wise considering SSJ1 Goku was 15 million, and Vegeta was in majin mode with SSJ2.... his power level was many times greater. Think of this Goku at 15 million = Freeza fight, he couldn't touch 17 or 18 at that level, then they get even stronger, etc. etc. Power levels went away after the Freeza fight because if the series kept using them they would be in the hundreds and hundreds of millions. Also, they can control the size of the blast. Its the power of the blast, not the size that matters... even Roshi can destroy the moon.
I love ya baby, but all I can think about is, Kielbasa sausage, your butt cheeks is warm! Go Norcross Blue Devils!
Yeah like I said the whole strength thing doesn't add up. Goku when he fights Napa starts out in the 5,000 range. But that is misleading because he hides his power and he has the human trick of being able to triple his power but he was only in the 50,000 range. But then when he fought Frieza a month later he was in the 1 million range before he went to a SS. Then after all the androids, Cell, and then spending 7 years hossing up even more he must be somewhere around 500 million. Then in the fight with Vegeta they both move up to SS2. So when Vegeta fully powered up and nuked himself he should have totally destroyed the Earth is not the whole damn Solar System. But that is too much technical details for a damn kids show I guess.

I personally think it's the best DBZ episode. Great music, excellent dialogue, GREAT character development.
I don't know aboput stats but I do know this much;
Goku and Majin Vegeta were both running at SSJ2. Vegeta needed to become Majin Vegeta to compete with Goku. However when vegeta dies and goes into the 'other world', he sees Goku go SSJ3. During the Union of Rivals, Vegeta yells at Goku.
Vegeta: "I saw what you did when I was in the other world! You were HOLDING BACK during our fight weren't you?".
Goku (looking sheepish): 'Well....I can only do it for a short time though!"
This leads me to believe that Majin Vegeta was GREATER than SSJ2 Goku (barely), but SSJ3 Goku eclipises them both.
Also, Vegeta in that scene was MADLY powered up. But you notice something? He did something like a proximity bomb time thing where it only went to a certian area. If he did the "Final Blast", rest assured the earth would've been destroyed at the very least, probably would've wiped out a few more things too. But this is the NEW Vegeta, the one who actually cares for the lives of others, so he does something else instead, which I thought was super awesome.
Majin Vegeta is a bit stronger than Goku, but no level 3 for him. Also aganist Nappa/Vegeta Goku was base 8000, but with KaioKen which multiplies your power, and he could do 4 *barely* he was up to 32000.

Yeah and then 1 month later when he fought Frieza he was about 5 million before he went to SS. I guess one butt kicking increases a Seians power by 100 times.

The dumb thing is that later in the series they pretty much retire the Sayian butt kicking = increase in strength bit. Oh well, the end of the Buu saga is coming on CN, so I'm happy.

Yeah I am looking forward to it too. Especially since in the commercial you see Buu and Bobity destroying a city. Just wait until the claim that it was an abandoned city. Like when Napa destroyed half of West City or blew up that aircraft carrier NO ONE got killed. That is truly amazing and almost hard to believe.

That was because a different company subbed it. I went from watching DBZ before Funimation came in (episodes 1-52) to reading my friends manga of the whole series and seeing blood and stuff, to seeing the Funimation version, which is less edited than before, but is still a little edited. In the Japanese version, and the American manga (which is unedited) they make it clear that Napa and Vegeta wasted those people. Spoiler Alert:
Buu does an awesome attack where he stands on Kame's lookout and shoots a huge amount of pink lasers into the air killing everyone on Earth except Tienshinhan and Chaozu, this is a big part of the story, as this forces Tien to come into the fight and save Mystic Gohan from Buu's death blast. (Remeber Tien's Kikohou can hurt Cell in form 2)

... It's stuff like this that made me give up on watching the show... I can't suspend logic THAT much. Then again, I only saw... uh... from the fight with... Piccolo to... Vegita?
After that, it just kinda gets worse with power levels as everybody just tops out everybody else on the "Most Powerful Person ever" scale.
I know I'm new to the show, but that's one thing I can't stand.
It's like, "Oh No! It's the Saijins! The most powerful fighters ever! Watch them wipe out Earth's defenses! Oh, well thank God Goku powered up and beat them!" Then the next friggin' week it's, "Oh no! It's Freiza! The most powerful fighter ever! Watch him wipe out Namek's defenses. Oh, well thank God Goku powered up and beat him!" And so on.
Uh...right. I've been doing a little research, and for all the importance that they put on become a Super Saijin, a whole heapin' helpin' of people do it. And then, because once Goku becomes a Super Saijin and there's nothing they can't beat, they invent the rule that there can be MORE POWERFUL Super Saijins. And the point at which a power level of oh say 300,000 seemed pretty bad ass, is just teeny compared to the least powerful "fighter" on the show.
That seems pretty ridiculous. I still watch it though because I'm not completely immune to liking things that make no sense, and plus it always cracks me up when they talk during they're fights ("Such...a...great...Power!") and when they have 50 minute long screaming sessions. But I hate how they switched everyone's voices around during the Freiza saga. That bugged the heck out of me. Mostly for Krillin, because I liked the other voice better.

Well, look at the last World's Martial Arts Tournament. Krillen is by far the "weakest" of the Z fighters and look what he can do. 1. Fly at several times faster than sound. 2. Lift 100x his own body weight. 3. Fire an energy blast capable of destroying a mountain. 4. Split himself into 3 separate and almost as powerful people. Now I am sure I forgot some powers but you get my point. How can a normal human hope to compare?

Smarky Trek fanboys piss me off. Shatner's famous line always makes me chuckle. "Get a life! It's just a TV show!" I generally enjoy Trek no matter what, also. But the franchise is at its best when risks are taken, I find.
