Well, from the sound of Heyman tonight it doesn't appear to be looking like a major shake up. In his opening promo, he mentioned to Cena, that those left behind will feel his wrath for allowing Austin to stunner him last week. I'm guessing that during RAW each GM will pick out a set number of names out of a hopper and that will be that. A few teams might get split up, a few stars changing shows, but I'm hoping Eddie and Benoit will stay put at least.

Sorry in advance if I repeated any thoughts someone else already got out there in the thread. I read through the thread but could have glossed over someone saying the same thing.

I agree that it will be mainly a small shake up. Maybe 5-10 names picked by each GM out of the others talent pool. Smackdown of course will get lucky compared to RAW. RAW's main take will be Edge while Smackdown will get KANE, RVD, & Orton or some trio that will add some major heel talent to Smackdown.
I think it's a great time for something like this and it wouldnt be a bad idea to do anually following WMXX. WM is always supposed to end the stories and begin new ones so why not get some interesting new talent on each show.
Monday's RAW should be a big one.

and thats all i have to say about that!

The rumors I am hearing is that this is gonna be a MAJOR shake-up. I hear theres gonna be a LOT more changes then you think. This whole thing is mainly for Smackdown because its been pulling in really low ratings.

So let me get this straight. On Monday night Raw they say we have a five man lottery to shake up things. It's went from being a lottery to being a whole new draft? Which makes no sence at all because they've worked so hard to make the brands so different, as many at this board have said. I'm just glad there going to try and fix up the gaping whole they have over on Smackdown with Brock leaving so suddenly. As long as it produces more new talent than what we have now I'll be very happy. Wait, WWE doesn't like to do that. Well, HHH in movies along with Rock now plus we have to brand new champions that have held those belts until now. So, it looks like we might have some hope for new quailty in the WWE. Whoo hooo!

WWE Champion: Eddie Guerrero
World Heavywieght Champion: Chris Benoit
Both of them won at Wrestlemaina. PRICELESS!!

I think Heyman will be off of Smackdown after what happened this week. He basically said that he would "punish" every wrestler on his roster if they remain on his roster after the lottery. I don't think Vince, in his sudden babyface role here, playing the leader trying to repair his company, would tolerate that kind of behavior from one of his GMs. This seems like a way to get Heyman out of the SD GM position into either a manager role or even branching off for ECW (WHOA!) either soon or sometime in the future after he's been off TV for a while.

I think 'big doin's' are definately in store for the lottery, just not as dramatic to the actual rosters as WWE is making it out to be. I agree, about 5 wrestlers per show will be shuffled, but also think that something big like a GM change will happen. I'm hoping to have Bischoff go to Smackdown, even though that probably means Shane or Steph will be back on RAW. However, the role Bischoff's character has been playing in recent weeks is really what a GM should be like, and either one of the McMahon kids wouldn't be TOO bad at such a muted role.

Whatever happens, they need to focus a lot more on the cruiserweights. Wasn't Smackdown supposed to be all about cruisers and how they were exclusive to the show and how great they were, you know instead of just being tiny jobbers.
WCW had an awesome group of cruisers (well, more or less the same people that are in the WWE now) and they were allowed to fly all over the ring.
Maybe a kind of SuperX styled tournament? Or a KotR for cruisers?
And I'm still mad that they made Kidman look like Generic WCW PowerPlant Wrestler #45.
He needs the long hair, the jeans and the wifebeater!

Also, perhaps some restructuring in regards to the titles would be good. Maybe something like this:

RAW
RAW Title
IC Title
Women's Title
Regular Tag title/heavy weight tag title

Smackdown
SD Title
US Title
Cruiserweight Tag Title
Cruiserweight title

And then maybe revive something like the TV-title as an interpromotional belt that's defended every two weeks or so. The Cruiserweight tagtitles would atleast give all the little guys something to do, and would likely result in some awesome matches.

SD gets pretty much the same (or better) ratings as Raw. IIRC, you can't take the raw number of the 2 shows and compare them. I believe you have to use the formula "1.25 x SD rating = Raw equivalent" (or something close to that).

And for thoose of you who doubt an ECW return, just look at how Heyman is being booked. The whole SD lockerroom walks out on him and he's insanely power hunger. Its all leading up to his firing and revenge against WWE. All I know is I really want ECW back.

Will. Not. Happen. Or, if it does, you'd get "ECW", a WWE-ized version.

Hmmm I'd watch out for that. I've seen software before that will censor incoming email. I haven't seen that happen on an HTML post - that's rather odd. Wonder what kind of censorware you've got running there?
