The main event of SummerSlam reminds me more and more of the movie Rocky 4 every week. Rock is playing Rocky, Brock is playing Ivan Drago and Hogan Apallo Creed, when Ivan, oops, I mean brock was destroying Hogan I almost thought he was going to say 'If he dies...he dies.'. The simmilarities are quite amazing, with Rock as the champ, Hogan the past his prime best friend and Brock the unstopable monster. Unfortunately, unlike the movie, I dont see Rocky coming out with his hand raised.

Damn, I was thinking exactly the same thing last night when Brock was leaving the arena through the crowd. I thought to myself, "Brock is Ivan Drago!" He even kind of looks like him. I'll mark like hell if Brock gives a promo and ends it by saying, "I must break you"

Maybe they are mixing it a little with a bit of R3 thrown in. Rocky is the cocky, flash champ who has been more concerned with being famous than being a wrestler and he gets his ass handed to him by the younger, hungrier wrestler. Rock then comes back and proves himself a fighter.

You are obviously unfunny. If this wasn't a joke, than I'd have you know that Russia is a beautifully country. I recently visited St. Petersburg and it's fucking gorgeous. So is Moscow. Amazing cities. And Russia is the largest country in the world, the WHOLE country does not have ONE MANDATED climate.
This isn't meant to insult you by the way, It's just kind of fucked up that everyone in the U.S. still has that weird cold war mentality against a country that REALLY won World War 2. (Russia lost tens of millions of soldiers against Germany, even thought they were initially allied.) Even though Communism didn't work because people are naturally lazy and no one will want to work hard when you all get paid the same amount.....and even though Stalin was a piece of shit....does not mean that Russia isn't a magnificent place.

SOR-RY!
I'm talking about the Russia in Rocky 4,not the real Russia. In Rocky 4,Russia was portrayed as barren wasteland.
See,it loses all of (un)funniness out of it if I have to explain it.

| #13 Posted on 14.8.02 1006.21 | Instant Rating: 6.44 | I would give anything to see this segment on the Heat before Summerslam:
The WWE decides to send a cameraman to ride along with Rocky as he drives his Pontiac to the arena. The soft, soothing strains of "Hearts On Fire" are heard in the background as we see Rocky reminiscing about the last month.
Rocky remembers his epic feud and battle with Hulk Hogan, and the respect that they had for one another after that feud (a la Apollo Creed from Rocky 1 and 2). This is then interspersed with last week's Smackdown as Brock almost "kills" Hogan with first the F5 and then a bearhug of death. Then Rock thinks about his passionate kiss with Trish Stratus from Raw a while back (had to get the Rocky-Adrian story in there somewhere). Rocky is upset with his friend's injuries, and resolves (during the climax of the song) to defeat the mighty Minnesotian and bring some peace between Minnesota and the rest of the US.
ROCKY! ROCKY! ROCKY! USA! USA! USA!
