Don't turn Angle. Don't turn Angle. Don't turn Angle. You are crazy if you do. The guy is so great at being a heel he should be one for life, pretty much. How many other wrestlers do you know got the crowds to chant "You suck!", in time with his music, at him every time without any signs of it dying? The only, ONLY time the WWF should consider an Angle face turn again is post-Athens, and even then only briefly. Angle, of course, should get the title right after Summerslam - he's earned another run, and Rocky owes him a job.
When I found out about Stephanie's return, I was ready to throw a brick through my television... but I'm giving them a chance here. I'm sick and tired of Stephanie's whiny bitchy heel character, and if they're finally going to give her a run as a face (which she's BETTER AT) then good for the WWF. But if they're going to give us two heel GMs, headed by a heel GM owner... Where the hell are you, Shane?
Now that Triple H is a heel again, Jericho must turn face, but not go back to his "class clown" character of 2000-01. He needs to be the Jericho of the July/Fully Loaded/HHH feud. And they need to start putting him over people again. I'm sick of the constant politically-motivated jobbing he's had to do, but it doesn't matter whether you move him to Raw or not, because he'll be subject to it either way...
CRZ NOTABLE QUOTABLE OF THE MONTH: KANE: Triple H...tonight, I will burn the flesh from your body! MICHAEL COLE: OH MY GOD. KANE THREATENING TRIPLE H, SAYING HE'S GONNA BURN THE FLESH FROM HIS BODY! CRZ: Umm, I heard it the FIRST time! -- WWF Smackdown, 9/9/99
As much as Lesnar annoys me, I don't think it would be so bad for him to win the title. I personally don't feel that the Rock should have come out of Vengeance with it, considering his frequent, extended absences, but that's just water under the bridge at this point. I'm really sick of seeing the same people hold the title time and time again, so a new face would be great, but Brock just hasn't been here long enough to get my support. I'd rather see RVD, Kane, Benoit or Booker T have a run, but I'll take Brock over Rocky, HHH, Taker or any of the other familiar faces.
I'm a little unsure why the party line here seems to be that Brock is over. In fact, most people seem to be saying he's over, but not ready for the title. I would contend he is ready for the title, but not over. I mean, the guy can't buy heat, even with Heyman -- and if Heyman can't get you over, who can?
I find his ring work to be good, personally, but I suppose most fans don't. They're not wowed. He needs more fast, high-impact moves, I guess.
I've seen Brock come out to zero response plenty-a-time, and they're only finally starting him talking for himself now. Can they build him up enough, just as a character, for it to make sense for him to win the title? I mean, yeah, he's big, yeah, he's got a finisher, and yeah, he's the next small thing, but how does that make him convincingly better than the Rock? Or, better yet, how is the Rock stupid enough to fall into the exact same formulaic loss that Heyman runs through when Lesnar gets to hit the F5 in his matches?
---=---:---=--- [Look up a line] Wow, that belt looks like crap... I'll take it and carry it around for years and see if people can take it away from me... What? What was that? You mean even THIS belt doesn't matter! What? I'm insulted! Get away from me you... you... defiler!
Pretty surprising considering Jason Powell mentioned that Hardy was interested in going back to the WWE by 2017, so maybe he signed a one year deal? Did Jeff send out feelers to the WWE and did they show little to no interest?
