Speaking of Stephanie and the idea of any McMahon equals ratings. I just decided to take a quick look at the ratings for the last 5 weeks(not including Thanksgiving) and the last 5 weeks with Stephanie on TV building to a match with her father.
The 5 (non thanksgiving) weeks we had without Steph ratings were 3.6, 3.7, 3.0, 3.7, 3.6. Averaging a 3.52... The last 5 weeks with Steph were 3.3, 3.6, 2.9, 3.1, 3.2. Averaging a 3.22. Heck if you want to add last weeks holiday 3.0 show the no Steph shows are still am AVG of 3.43.
I was just curious. I find Vince the worse now, his character is so played out and repetitive. I would be very curious if we could have a four month block (I'd say half a year but that would be greedy) with any McMahon on TV at all and see how it goes... I got a feeling that the WWE World wouldn't crumple because of it
How nice it would be to see Vince McMahon off TV. Errr, that's not right...how nice it would be to NOT see Vince on TV. Yeah, that's better.
Of course, the only way that's going to happen is he gets embroiled in something that keeps him away from production, creative, etc. etc. Take, for instance, the steroid trial; only at that time, during the days of kayfabe, he was just the play by play man.
Thing is, if Vince goes, who comes in? Someone equally as annoying? Shane? Steph? Linda? HHH as the prez of WWE? Let's hope not.
I'm so totally hoping for a more dynamic wrestling show to air on Monday nights. Anyone from TNA listening?
Go Packers! Beat the Bengals!
(To Submit2theXFace: I haven't caved; I just don't like Cinci)
Thank you TiO BMF for starting this topic. Obviously this is going to blunt and short. HELLLLLL NO! Vinny Mac will probably be on our screens after XX due to the fact almost everbody has pointed out McMahon=Ratings. Once again the Don't cross the boss comes to mind because everbody has crossed him and whooped him. Figure he'll be around unless fate has something better for the Vin man.
Could be he'll go into cronilogical freezing after XX so he can come back for Wrestlemania 50. Wait...did I just type that...d'oh!!
As Eric Bishoff asks if he's ok I get this message ------------
ssjaj23: Goldberg: What's wrong? I can't sell, I'm sloppy in the ring. I don't like being heel. I have no ring phycology
So Metzler's saying that the boring chant is part of a push for Storm, inspired by the "You Suck" chant, and designed to help the audience "get it out of their system" since WWE is pushing a slower, less injurious style of wrestling.
