So, the new companion is an impossible thing. The new opening is Baker's old opening as is the new Tardis control room. I did like the Sherlock Holmes bit. I am not sure what to make of Carla Oswin Oswald, but it should be interesting. I do say, I wish the Sontaran and the lesbian alien couple were the new companions.

I wouldn't even mind a spinoff show with them like Torchwood except done in a more fun style then Torchwood.

In terms of the episode it wasn't as much a Christmas episode as it was an episode of Doctor Who that happened to be set at Christmas. It was still entertaining though and I am eager for the new season and to find out more about Oswin Oswald.

Victorian Clara was a certainly a companion as they used to say "for the dads."

I could do with out another season long arc featuring the mystery of the female companion.

My favorite part of the episode was actually the design of the new Tardis control room. Very sterile, very alien, very different from before. It was a really good character note.

I'm with you - I don't like Family Guy, American Dad or whatever he puts together. If the Flintstones takes on the same style as those shows, then I think I'll be sick.
