Nice bounceback from last week's mostly average episode.

This was Gaiman-y in all the right ways.

Suranne Jones was very good as Idris.

Don't miss the Confidential either.

The best episode of the season by far and one of the best ones of the new run. I was actually glad Rory was smart enough to save them a number of times. The dialogue between the Doctor and the Tardis was everything I wanted including what we all knew, but the Doctor only guessed, the Tardis takes him where he needs to be. I am would actually like to see Gaiman get an entire season like Moffat does, but I am sure he is too busy for that.

Yes, and heck yes.

I guess they're working on the assumption people will buy that they really might kill off Rory so 'Ooooh, tension!' but when they pull the same trick nearly every week it loses its impact. It doesn't help that I don't give a hoot about Rory but I may be alone in my apathy on that one.

Personally, I adore Rory's character. I was pretty bummed when he stayed dead for a few episodes. Poor guy, how can you be Lois Lane's boyfriend? In fact, you'd probably have a better shot wooing someone away from Superman than The Doctor. I love that he makes up for it by being exceptionally average. I think it really works.

in a way, i wouldn't mind if they revealed Amy and the Doctor were related, so that it would end the Dr/Amy romantic angle.

I don't think there is a show on right now that is comparable to Community. And that is tough for me to say as I am a huge fan of The Office, How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory.
