I think I had too high hopes for this episode and came away a little disappointed.

Diana Rigg was a little over-the-top for me. Maybe I was comparing it unfairly to the great work she has done so far on Game of Thrones this season.

I like how people have compared it to the plot of Moonraker.

Annoyingly cute alien/monster seemed very RTD era.

I hope my opinion gets tempered on repeat viewing.

As a new viewer of Doctor Who, how is it the Doctor travels through time and doesn't have to worry about any butterfly effects? Hell, Clara was caught in several pictures that the little kids she babysits found and that doesn't affect anything at all. Can he just go back in time and fix ANYTHING he wants?

In recent times, the Doctor has said that there are unmutable points in time that they can't monkey with, like how he can't go back and rescue the Ponds.

In the old days, the Doctor often showed up trying to make sure history wasn't changed (the Meddling Monk story for one, way back in the b/w era).

I liked this episode a lot. The three sidekicks can be a show into itself. The Tom Tom reference was a bit rough though. I did like the fact that the Doctor and Clara really did need the help. I do not like the kids being involved yet, we get Neil Gaiman next week, so I am curious to see if that will stick.

Awww, Opie got fired! That's saddens me greatly, but I'd hope he comes back soon. So it's another "Brian meets a girl" plot, with this one being a blind girl. And it had a lot of funny moments, like Brian creating a fake mugging.
