I think they're fun to wear at the bar. You'd be surprised how many undercover marks there are.

As for friends, I really don't care if they approve of wrestling or not. It's somethign that I like, and those of us who like it watch the PPVs. Those who don't, don't. It's pretty simple.

I've only got a couple, one a faded "EC F'n W" shirt that I wear anywhere but church. For some reason I can't find my Celebrity Deathmatch shirt with the clay Austin holding up a freshly ripped skeleton.

I should look for that tonight...

I wear my Tazz and Y2J shirts pretty much everywhere, heh, and I've unearthed some closet wrestling marks with 'em, which is pretty nifty.

HairRaiser, you lucky git. I'd kill for an "EC F'n W" shirt.

Yes, there are many undercover. I wore my ECW RVD shirt to a club once and the doorman commented on it and let me in without a cover. Of course, now that I think about it, it may not have had much to do with the shirt. Now, I wish I hadn't thought about that. Good thing I hate clubs.

I only buy shirts that I would wear in public, which seems like an obvious policy to me. I've got a Kurt Angle "SUBMIT" shirt and a black shirt with a white Crazy Max logo on it. So far no one has recognized either. *shrug*

I don't wear t-shirts out all that much, but I have a Kurt Angle shirt that has been good luck for me in that I wore it as an undershirt and got 2 different jobs and I've also gotten laid wearing it before, but that was sort of creepy cause the girl didn't want me to take it off...

Anyways, I've also got the ECW Job Squad shirt with the baby shooting the bird has gotten me MANY comments, both good and bad.

I wore my Hardyz pendant until I discovered it was giving me a rash; I carried it with my in my pocket for the better part of several months before giving it to a possible S/O - that didn't pan out, but for totally differennt reasons.

I have a t-shirt from the Grand Ballet Canadien that looks almost exactly like a Jericho shirt - if I knew where it was, I'd wear it a HELL of a lot more often. It's very nice. Dark blue fabric and a white figure doing the Jericho/crucifixion thing.

I have worn my RVD long-sleeve t-shirt numerous times in public, along with the RVD pendant.

I'd likewise not be embarassed to wear the new Jeff Hardy (JH - Beware of Falling Man), Team Angle, Mattitude V1, Rey Mysterio Mask'n'Crest, Jericho 'I Am The King Of The World' and Kurt Angle 'YOU SUCK' t-shirts, provided I could wear something over them - like a button-down shirt, but open - since I really don't like the idea of text or designs on my back.

Yes, I look nothing like a Thunderous Iron Moose. Deal.

Last wrestling shirt I bought was a British Bulldogs shirt back in 1985, so it's safe to say I don't wear that anymore...

Anyway, I'm too busy trying to explain the Homestar and Strong Bad shirts I got recently.

This thread taps into one of my great complaints...the fact that wrestling companies tend to make the gaudiest most awful shirts imaginable. Even though the most popular shirts of the last few years have mostly all been fairly understated. The original nWo shirt, the original Austin 3:16 shirt, and the Sting shirt with the scorpion on the front all sold HUGE yet avoided being disgustingly goofy. I mean, I'm sorry, but as much as I love Benoit I will not wear a shirt with "Toothless Agression" in huge letters.

Nowadays if I'm going out for any length of time the only wrestling shirts I'll wear are the Austin 3:16 one, my RVD shirt with the funky yin-yang logo, the Sting scorpion, or my Tajiri shirt because it just looks swank. Though I admit I would wear a Team Angle jumpsuit if they came out...oh yeah.

And nothing wrong with the Strong Bad shirt...I'm wearing it now in fact. Can't wait for the Trogdor shirt they're coming out with soon.

I still wear my old raggity Hulk Rules Tee from the late 80s. And I get lots of reaction to it. Nearly all of it really positive. Of course, Terry's like the Granddaddy of wrestling to many people - He's really the only one they have ever heard of. I keep meaning to get to Shopzone and get another one before Hulk hangs it up. Mine has a few tears (mended) and spots. I like to think they're blood, but it's more likely to be ketchup. :)

I have a number of wrestling shirts, and am able to wear them at the office, since it's more casual here than most and my boss is also a huge wrestling fan (we're going together to WrestleMania). Right now, I'm wearing the new Version 1 shirt, and also just got the Team Angle t-shirt.

I don't own too many wrestling shirts, but the ones I do own, I have no problem wearing in public. Of course, I'm one of those people who don't give a fuck what he looks like. Hair...BRUSH???

Of course, if you wear a wrestling shirt out in public, I recommend you do it where your sure you won't be trying to pick up some chick. This rule especially applies to those who thought it would be cool to buy the Triple H shirt that has "No Foreplay" written in big, bold letters on it.

If you already have a girlfriend/wife, your covered.

(Pointless addition: My favorite wrestling shirt I own? The old ECW Rob Van Dam "Whole F'n Show" shirt from 2000. The one that's designed like a movie poster. I just think it's so damn cool looking. Of course, I'm an RVD mark.)

The only one I've ever worn in public was the original NWO black and white logo shirt. I couldn't justify to myself walking outside wearing a Jeff Jarrett "SLAP NUTS" shirt, but not because of embarrassment reasons. Every person that knows me understands that I am not only a wrestling freak, but that I also have no shame as well.

Good question, lordazzington! (positive reinforcement is an important complement to negative reinforcement)

I'm not much for silkscreen T-shirts, so if I owned one, I'd probably just wear it around the house like I do my old Weezer T-shirt.

OTOH - I used to have a Jakks-Pacific WWF Ring set up on my desk at work, with a HHH doll and an Angle doll set up in a tableau as if they were having a strap match. (I've never seen a strap-match that I enjoyed, but the strap connecting the two dolls' wrists helped keep them steady on their feet.) This was great for flushing out my fellow marks at work. Sadly we moved to a building with smaller desks and they outlawed toys and knick-knacks. But I still have my WWE calendar!

I have a funny story about the calendar, actually. Last year, my boss told me that she had gottten a complaint that someone was offended by my calendar, and that I should keep the peace by moving it somewhere less obtrusive. I couldn't think how anyone could be offended by pro wrestling; dislike is one thing, but to take offense? Was I working with a Bozell or a Muchnick all unawares? Then two things occurred to me:

1) I noticed that a coworker had moved his beefcake calendar to a spot on his wall less noticable to passerby.

2) The current month featured Kurt Angle with the straps of his singlet down.

Someone in my office thought that I was gay and that I had a beefcake calendar! My wife found the story quite the chuckle....

Angle has the straps of his singlet up in this year's calendar, so, hopefully, it won't cause quite the same stir. OTOH, The current month features The Rock in a leather vest and leather pants held up by a gigantic belt-buckle, which, I must admit, is pretty damn gay.

I wear my old Kurt Angle shirt (I think it was, actually, the first shirt they made for him... ) out fishing... so yeah, that is in public. But that is the only place I really wear it anymore....

Aside from that, I don't HAVE any other wrestling shirts... I haven't really liked one in a long, long time...

I used to have an ECW shirt that looked like one of those Hard Rock Cafe shirts. It said "Hard Core Cafe" instead and I wore it to work a few times. It's long gone however. I don't think I'd wear them now, but then again, I don't wear my old Heavy Metal shirts either. Mostly plain, gray shirts now.

"Do You Wear Wrestling Shirts In Public?"

You mean there are actually other kinds of shirts? Just kidding. There are some wrestling shirts I would wear. I wouldn't mind at all wearing a "Cheat 2 Win", "Submit", the last 4 Horsemen shirt, or a J.O.B. Squad shirt out in public.

Now if you would excuse me, I've got to put on my Macho Man foam cowboy hat and go pick up my mail.

I love my Kaientai EVIL shirt, but that's the only one I wear anywhere besides a WWE show. (Of course, the only other one I own is the original Kurt Angle IT'S TRUE, IT'S TRUE shirt, so it's almost a moot point.)

I kinda want that Brock Lesnar shirt, though.
