Maybe, but not winning it from Brock at WM19. He may win it on Raw or something like that. Remember when Luger beat Hogan on Nitro, only to lose the title back to Hogan at Road Wild. Hogan went on to hold the title until Goldberg beat him on Nitro. Well, something similar could happen. Because I have a gut feeling that somebody will take the title from Brock for good at WM19....
first, grimis, sting beat hogan for the belt at the end of 97 between the luger and goldberg title wins. Its possible that RVD gets the belt in November/December, as that has been the time period Vince likes to use to test new title holders (Foley, Diesel, Big Slow, Rock, Jericho). As for being the first to beat Brock, that will be HHH revising the role of Nash from Starrcade 98.

...and it will be John Cena.
Dude! Hogan vs Sting! It was only the biggest match WCW ever had :)
I saw it happening in ECW in 1998,1999,2000,and 2001...and well that didn't happen. I saw it happening in he WWE last year. I see it happening 4 years ago so I truly hope it happens before WM19.
I would really like to see RVD win it AT WrestleMania 19 by beating HHH. This is all assuming Steve Austin doesn't return before then, of course.
HHH vs RVD has all the makings of a classic feud and, assuming politics don't get in the way, there's the makings of a great story. If anyone can get a good match out of HHH, it's RVD. Or Booker T. Or Angle. Or Jeri-- Wait, no.
HHH vs RVD could be a modern day tortoise and the hare, with HHH being all serious and at the top of his Game. He could go on about his accomplishments and how he's defeated everyone else while RVD just takes it easy and is all "Yeah, whatever" which ends up just pissing HHH off.
It can also be looked at almost like WM14, with the fans legitimately hating HBK for many of his backstage shenanigans and asshole character, going against rising babyface Steve Austin. A new star, although not quite as big as Austin, cold be born out of this. The same thing could happen here, if Stephanie allowed it.
I'm a big fan of RVD, but as he currently stands, character-wise, I can't see him main eventing WrestleMania. Could that change, yes, but right now I don't see it. I wouldn't be surprised if he won the title before Mania and lost it before Mania though. Right now the amount of people who could truly main event Mania is a short list: Rock, Triple H, Angle, Taker...that's probably about it. There's a few that could get there in time for the event: Lesnar, Van Dam, Booker, and Edge. Ideally, the main event will be some one from Group A against someone from Group B. The best scenario, in my opinion, being Kurt Angle vs. Booker T. Angle comes in as heel champ and loses to Booker, but Mania is still way too far off. We still have to see where Rock is, movie-wise, where Angle is, Olympics-wise, and what injuries do (or hopefully don't) happen.
Personally, I see Benoit or RVD beating Brock. Both need that one last PUSH to the stars, and beating the unbeatable is that push. RVD has an easy scenario, as he's Brock's sparring partner. But all Brock has to do is slight Benoit in any way, and the vindictive Wolverine bastard'll turn on Brock at the drop of a hat.

Sorry...RVD just doesn't have "it"!
WTF? Cena has "it" and RVD doesn't? Have you seen an RVD match this year? Have you noticed how damned over he is with the crowd? He steals the show at pretty much every PPV and on almost every Raw. He's on his way to the big, big, big time. As to Cena, I like him just as much as you, I'm sure, but he's got a long way to go. His wrestling skills are very good and his mic skills are average, but he's going to have to get an identity. Right now, he's just New Guy #6. RVD has identity...he's the real people's champion, no doubt.

And, as Rob himself told me, he always does something special!

WHAT WORKED: -Wow this was a shockingly unobjectionable episode of Impact. Actively good show. Tenay’s shitty facials hurt the opening mic work butI dug Jeff Jarrett’s humble babyface opening mic work.
