A cockatiel named Ellie (img266.imageshack.us). She's legitimately crazy, and scared of everything. She's awesome.

Our cat died in early January and we decided that we're ready for the responsibility of a dog now. We just adopted a 5 year old Shiba Inu. She will be moving in with us on Sunday evening. Her previous owners had named her Foxy, but we're going to be calling her Kiba. We plan to each take her on daily jogs, so she'll have plenty of time to exercise all that Shiba running instinct. We're also going to try skijoring.

I've had a cat for about 8 years or so. She belonged to the-w.com poster "Socks" prior to that. She was stripped of her old name the day she moved in with me, and remains without one to this day. This, perhaps is why her favorite activities involve burying her head in things. Shame from a lack of identity.

Thanks! She's been with us for about 5 hours now and is still a bit wary but warming up. Her previous owners had kids around who liked to pull her tail (she finally snapped at one which prompted giving her to a shelter), so it'll take a while before she understands that she won't be terrorized here.
We took her out for a run and she kept pace during hard sprinting easily. Cleared a 6 minute mile without even thinking about slowing down. I can't wait to run with her in the fenced-in park. And this this weekend we're getting a skijoring harness!

Eh, one thing saved the Whopperettes commercial for me: they actually came out and called him "the freaky King."
