DJ Shadow has been really excited about this, which means I shouldn't just dismiss it outright....but I bet by the time it comes out, I still do.

It looks like a lot of fun. It really does. But what makes Activision think that I have the money or the physical closet space for another giant controller?

Bought this! Haven't had a ton of time with it yet, but so far I've really enjoyed it. It's nice to have something different from the other ___ Hero/Rock Band games, both in terms of instruments and musical style. It does a reasonable job of making you feel like you're controlling the music (and not just playing along, which is what you're actually doing). Scratching is a little tricky - sometimes I miss (let's call them) notes and can't quite figure out why. I'm sure I'll get marginally better in time, though. I give it a thumbs up.

But is it worth the money? Well... it is awfully pricey for one game and a controller that will only work (so far) with said game. I am a fan, but I really should be playing it more to justify the investment (which is how everyone wants their fun described, right?) - so maybe try it before buying it.

I thought the gamecube was 149.99? If they kill the X to 99.99, I may get one.
