Has anyone tried to fix their own smartphone screens? I have a couple with cracked glass, and the only time I tried to do it was on an old beater phone. A Droid Maxx is a completely different beast, though. The only thing I'm really worried about is the adhesive and trying to heat it up to get everything loose. What should I use for this?

Looks like its a bug with the iPhone. The article recommends to turn off iMessage. http://www.dallasnews.com/entertainment/headlines/20140525-having-trouble-receiving-text-messages-after-switching-from-iphone-to-android-apple-admits-bug.ece
