Has anyone tried to fix their own smartphone screens? I have a couple with cracked glass, and the only time I tried to do it was on an old beater phone. A Droid Maxx is a completely different beast, though. The only thing I'm really worried about is the adhesive and trying to heat it up to get everything loose. What should I use for this?

My only thought is that you are using a USB keyboard on a machine that doesn't recognize it until you are in Windows. Do you have a PS2 keyboard connector on that back of the PC, and if so - are you using it?
