Should be some good games this weekend.

Falcons vs. Eagles, I think the Falcons have a real chance here if they can keep McNabb from ever finding a rythem in his first game back. But I think the Eagles D will be too much as was the Bucs earlier this year.
Eagles 17-10

Pitt. vs. Tenn., Pitt. needed a huge comback to be an inferior Browns team. the scoreboard won't show it but the Titans will dominate the game.
Titans 24-13

San Fran vs. Tampa Bay, San Fran's D can stop a pop warner team, Tampa's D should take away TO and make the Niner's win with their running game, won't happen.
Tampa 27-16

N.Y. Jets vs. Oakland, Old and rested vs. New Hotness. Im biased, Oaktown makes the Jets one dimensional by shutting down the run and scoring early and often. Pennington plays well but make the young quarterback in his first road playoff game mistakes.
Oakland 38-24

After a 1-3 week (would have been 2-2 if someone could snap the ball), time to re-think predictions.

Eagles/Falcons: If the Falcons win in Philly and Green Bay back to back weeks in January at night, Dan Reeves would have officially sold his soul. Eagles defense will keep Vick contained. Falcons won't get any special teams break like they did last week. Eagles 23-Falcons 6.

Titans/Steelers: Titans took the Steelers to the woodshed and Maddox to the hospital once this season. If people looked beyond a Jet team that lost to Chicago down the stretch, they would realize the hottest team in football is the Titans. Titans 17-Steelers 9.

49ers/Bucs: 49ers needed a collapse to survive, and have to travel across country. Still don't think much of Gruden as a playoff coach, but he usually wins one game before he finds a way to lose the second. Bucs 23-49ers 10.

Raiders/Jets: Jets lost in the playoffs last year at Oakland, and Pennington lost at Oakland earlier this year. Bye team generally defeats team without the bye. Jets due for their normal letdown. Raiders 35-Jets 3.

Falcons at Eagles - Reports are that Hell is terrified over what the Vet crowd will be like Saturday night. Expect to have a difficult time hearing the announcers no matter what the guys in the trucks do. There is a very good reason why Andy Reid closed practice this week and it will become apparent Saturday night. Eagles 27, Falcons 6

Steelers at Titans - Titans are on a roll and I am holding steady to my Super Bowl prediction. Titans 24, Steelers 17

49ers at Bucs - The Niners are coming off an emotional win and the Bucs are well rested. Bucs 20, Niners 13

Jets at Raiders - This game is the most difficult to call. I want to say the Raiders but the Jets are hot right now. I go with the hot team. Jets 24, Raiders 13

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?

Falcons/Eagles: Falcons are hot, McNabb's ankle probably still isn't 100%. This is a tough game to call and frankly wouldn't be surprised either way it went, but I stick with the Eagles, 24-21.

Steelers/Titans: Steelers have to be zapped after winning three straight games they had no business winning. The "Maddox comes back and wins" story is nice, but not blooming likely. Titalns take it 27-13.

49ers/Bucs: As I stated previously, neither team is really that good. The TO/Sapp jabbing could be classic. I stick with my earlier prediction of 49ers 17, Bucs 14.

Jets/Raiders: Speaking of teams that aren't as good as people think they are, may I present the Raiders. If Oakland was hard up to get Neion Deion in unifrom, their secondary must really be hurting and they probably don't expect Woodson at all. On the flip side, the Jets are on fire and the last time a similar team came to the black hole the Ravens went to the Super Bowl. Jets 24, Raiders 21 in a tight game.

Here goes nothing...

Eagles 24 Falcons 10

Vick will be contained by the Eagles D...

Steelers 31 Titans 24

I am not sold on the Titans. McNair et al
may prove me wrong, but I just don't see
them beating the Steelers again this season.

Raiders 38 Jets 35

This should be one of the better games in
the NFL in quite a while. I just think the
Raiders have the better team in the end.

Bucs 27 49ers 17

If the 49ers are able to keep the momentum
on the cross-country flight this may be the
upset special, but somehow I just think Gruden's
got the Bucs ready...

Steelers at Titans: I took the Titans to be in the Superbowl from the start of the season. Admittedly that was against the Rams so I shouldnt get too cocky, but nonetheless, I'll stick with Tennessee to beat a Steelers team that still aint anything special

Falcons at Eagles: While everyones talking about Vick after last week I think this one comes down to how well McNabb plays early on. If he gets settled and the Eagles dont give up any huge plays on special teams we should run out winners by 10.

49ers at Bucs: San Fran have gotta be drained after last weeks comeback, and Tampa have got more than enough to stop Garcia getting the time to set up the TO show. Bucs win a low scoring game to set up their annual playoff whupping at Vet.

Jets at Raiders: This and the Eagles game are probably the toughest to call. Jets look like the form team in the league right now and have already shown they can handle some prettt intense pressure. On the other hand, since their mini slump in mid season Oakland have also looked imperious at times. I'll go with.... Oakland by 3 cos the coin landed on heads

After completely bombing out on the NFC predictions (thought it was a little early for half my bracket to be gone... that's normally a March thing), I'll make a second run at it.

AFC
(I've already said my reasoning behind these)
(4) Jets @ (1) Raiders - Raiders.
(3) Steelers @ (2) Titans - Titans.

NFC
(6) Falcons @ (1) Eagles - Man, I love watching Michael Vick play. I'll enjoy it next year, too.
Eagles
(4) 45ers @ (2) Bucs - Want to know the fastest way to settle a controversy? Have the team who won the "controversial" game lose the next one.
Bucs

Pittsburgh/Tennessee: Like I said last week, this one is going to be fun, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go down to the last play. Dyson's injury hurts, but a healthy McNair/George combo and injury troubles on the Steelers' D will make the difference for Tennessee. Titans 24, Steelers 20.

Atlanta/Philadelphia: All the stereotypes are gone after Atlanta's primo upset of Green Bay last week... or was it a primo upset? Philadelphia's offense is similar to Green Bay's in terms of its structure (mobile, powerful quarterback, pseudo-All-Star running back, no-name receivers) and McNabb, no matter how much he denies it, will be rusty. I'm gonna be brave. Falcons 21, Eagles 17.

San Francisco/Tampa Bay: Definitely the easiest call of the weekend. San Francisco will be drained after last week's emotional comeback win and will be hard-pressed to run the ball against the league's #1 defense. The Tampa offense, on the other hand, will be back in sync with Brad Johnson back under center. Bucs 27, 49ers 14.

N.Y. Jets/Oakland: What this one comes down to is who wants it more. The Jets feel slighted because everyone left them for dead after the 1-4 start. Oakland needs to win it this year with their 2003 cap figure staring them in the face. Oakland won in the regular season, but remember, not only were they on the emotional high of Tim Brown's 1000th catch, but the Jets led in that game until that happened (3rd quarter) and still only lost by six. Why not keep the parallelism going? Jets 24, Raiders 23.

Tennessee/Pittsburgh
I will be there. Yay. Titans 17-12

Jets/Raiders
If Jets win I could be at the AFC title game too. Go Jets 28-23

Atlanta/Philly
I picked the Falcons last week. I think McNabb will be fine. Eagles 38-36

49ers/Bucs
I think it will be close. 49ers have to feel pretty awesome right now. Bucs anyway 13-10

The general consensus seems to be that the Steelers have no shot against Tennessee tomorrow. As a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I can only say - good. When the Steelers feel like they have something to prove, they play a phenominal game. (Conversely, when no one gives their opponents any kind of chance, they blow it. Look at their awesome Monday Night game against Tampa Bay or the abysmal Houston Texans game from a few weeks prior for proof.) Hell, you can see examples of it against the Brownies last week, as Maddox didn't seem to kick it into gear until everyone thought the game was over.

All logic says the Titans are going over, ergo - Tennessee doesn't have a prayer. (And, under that logic, GO OAKLAND!)

EDIT: Making it official:

Pittsburgh over Tennessee
New York over Oakland
Tampa Bay over San Fransisco
Philadelphia over Atlanta

Given the Packers collapse against the Jets in Week 17 we should not have been surprised, but then we got caught in the Lambeau and Farve mystique.
