I don't know if anyone has read the divasearch terms and conditions, well first off the Waivers on this this is just scary. Here's a quick overview of what they are going to do

2ND CASTING CALL EVENT. WWE will arrange for the semi-finalists selected in the first round of casting call events to travel to, and participate in, the second and final casting call event to be broadcast live on Spike TV on 7/15/04 between 10 pm (EST) and 11 pm... At the second and final casting call event, semi-finalists will be judged on the following WWE Diva criteria: glamour; beauty; physical fitness; poise; presence; charisma; personality; & talent, by a panel of judges comprised of WWE talent, WWE employees and/or independent casting agents. Each semi-finalist must bring several bikinis, evening gowns & club wear outfits to the second round casting call event as semi-finalists will be asked to model the outfits as part of the selection/elimination process. Semi-finalists also may be interviewed by judges, asked to display a talent and/or complete a task(s) requested by WWE. The precise nature of what semi-finalists will be asked to do will be determined by WWE in its sole & exclusive discretion & plicants agree to participate in any tasks that are presented to them.

RAW CHALLENGES. The 10 finalists are required to participate in a series of Challenges to be broadcast live on WWE RAW throughout the summer of 2004. The Challenges will vary from week to week. Examples of challenges that the finalists may have to participate in are such things as washing Mr. McMahon’s limousine while wearing a bikini or engaging in a pillow fight. The Challenges are to be determined by WWE discretion & applicants agree to participate in any Challenges that are presented to them. Applicants understand & agree that, among other things, the Challenges may involve wearing bikinis, evening gowns and/or club wear. Applicants further understand & agree that they might not be given any advance notice of the nature of the Challenges they will have to participate in, & that they might 1st learn of the nature of the Challenges as they are asked to perform the it live on RAW. The refusal to participate in any Challenge, whatever the reason, will result in disqualification.-

Every week WE (aren't we lucky) vote for our favorite (or vote out our least, I don't really know or care)... This is going to be a weekly thing every Monday night from July 19 -Sep 13. Gaaaaaawd.

The first part I don't even mind, it's a separate show, July 15 is a Thursday, so it will be after the SD show. Bring some girl in and she'll be the arm piece of some lame wrestler... Wouldn't be the first time and really no major harm.

They're obligating 9 straight weeks to this crap. On Raw no less, does this show have segments to throw away like this?... If this was on Smackdown *maybe* it's acceptable considering how shallow their talent pool is there & how much SD is struggling and you interchange any regular SD diva horror segment with this Diva Wannabe segment and it's pretty much the same.

But doing this on Raw, I just don't get. What? Is HHH leaving these 9 weeks to do a movie and THIS is the only suitable substitution? Hell I don't know. Raw has proved in the last while they can do a strong 2 hours & get a good rating when they do it. They don't need to gimmickry garbage like this... The Women division is probably going to get bumped down in importance & even though it's been in a major flux recently (no fault of the girls, the planning and misuse of their top talents has been pitiful but that's another story). But it's going to be sad seeing women I like take a back seat but unfortunately I can see it happening

I really think I'm going to hate this, I couldn't stand when Nitro had their boring Spring Break or Nitro Girls search, and that was just little 3-minute video packages coming from commercial, and I remember flipping the channel with boredom and forgetting to come back... This Raw diva search seems like it's going to be entire segments, stuff like this can just ruin a show.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory stays at BLUE alert - Guarded (With Benoit & Eddie being World & WWE champions you'd expect all's be right but couldn't do it due to Trish/Y2J character switches & whats the deal with JBL PPV main event)- 5/6

What's worse is that it's going to end up being an excuse for a big angle involving Stacy's "sister", as Stacy casually mentioned last night that her sister has entered. How lame.

What happened to last year's winner? Did she go anywhere?

I recall there being a ton of nude photos of her showing up just after she won the Diva Search. That probably didn't help.

Haha, this has the potential to be SUCH a train wreck. The 'RAW Challenges' in particular sound especially demeaning.

This will get added at the end of each post you make, below an horizontal line. This should preferably be kept to a small enough size.

We can only hope that the live crowd totally turns on this dreck. Also, we (at home) can all change the channel.

It's too bad it won't be as low-key as last year's Divasearch. The uncensored webcast of the final was great. I mean it doesn't get better than seeing your favorite wrestlers drunk, cussing, and sexually harassing women. Oh and Josh Matthews gay jokes. Yeah. Anyone else see this last year? It was the night before Summerslam. Too bad no one put the video online for download.

The same live crowd that chants "we want puppies" whenever a woman gets within 50 yards of the ring?

Does this mean we're going to have to institute the Junior Heavyweight Keibler Title in SatireLand?

I agree with Spaceman Spiff. This is the same crowd that pops like mad whenever Torrie shows off her thong or Miss Jackie flashes her tits. We need to realise that the WWE fans are not all smarks who care only about workrate and turn a blind eye to T&A.

Why are the contestants required to display a talent when so many of the current on-air personnel don't have to?

This would work so much better if RAW was broadcast on Cinemax.

Well, it's nice to see that some practical good will come of this. I mean, the car's gotta be washed anyway. Besides, let's not forget for whose benefit and amusement this contest is being run [hint: it ain't us the viewers].

If genetics holds true, that eliminates Stacy's sister from the competition. Seriously, how disgusting would it be for both members of the family to jump over wrestling training etc. due to idiotic contests (Nitro Girl and this one).

Considering Yogi Bear doesn't wake up until noon, yet gets every picnic basket that is in Jellystone Park, wouldn't it behoove Ranger Smith to advise those entering the park to consume the contents of said picnic baskets before noon?

First off this can be no worse than the WCW Nitro parties. That was the biggest waste of televised wrestling ever, excluding anything Lex Lugar ever did.

The contest sounds like a way for WWE to exploit money hungry, fame driven woman. I am all for embarrassing money hungry bitches, you ladies wanna be famous, get a talent. I say way to go WWE for exposing these woman, I am just not happy we have to sit through it.

If I'm not mistaken, all last year's winner was guaranteed was one photoshoot in a WWE magazine. The nudes didn't negate any deal she had with them as far as I know, but it sure couldn't have helped. It could also be that when they met her for the first time they just decided she wasn't worth pursuing as a talent. Wasn't the whole thing run over the net last year?

The WCW Nitro Party videos gave us additional airtime for Nitrogirl Chae, which incidentally was way better than anything Kevin Sullivan came up with.
