| #22 Posted on 10.1.02 1706.09 | I'd be upset only if they put here against a woman who's eye candy. They really need to make a line. If someone's going to be eye candy, their wrestling is really going to... well, you know, not really look all that great. But if someone's training and actually hoping to be IN the ring 90% of the time they're out there [there ARE tag matches, I hear], then I don't mind.
I just mind when two people who SHOULD NEVER BE IN A RING end up in a match.
And yes, I DID mind the Vince/Shane match at WM17, except that they threw in a street fighting regulation that, you know, made people forget it was a wrestling match. They also overbooked it with stuff, but at least it was stuff that was waiting to happen, instead of WCW's old random thing happening...
---=---:---=--- [Look up a line] Wow, that belt looks like crap... I'll take it and carry it around for years and see if people can take it away from me... What? What was that? You mean even THIS belt doesn't matter! What? I'm insulted! Get away from me you... you... defiler!

| #24 Posted on 11.1.02 0358.39 | Molly is good. Ivory is good. Jackie is tough. But if you want to see some really spectacular womens wrestling, view some ARSION or GAEA as soon as possible! Ayako Hamada rules it. Lita would watch a Hamada match and think, "wow, I really do suck."
Akira Hokuto rocks. She is to be feared.

Lita shouldn't even have to be watching wrestling to realize she sucks in the ring! She does some fun stuff but never had that much basic training I believe, and it shows.

| #26 Posted on 11.1.02 0605.19 | well, since most of us (in this thread ) agree there need to be more actual wrestlers in the women's div, here are my choices for additions.
1 and 2. Riot and Daffney(team them up with Raven and Steven for a new "Nest/flock") 3. Beckie (we all know she can fly) 4. Terri Gold (has decent fundementals, last WOW Champ) 5. Tori ( I know they had problems with her, but dammit, bring her back!!!) 6. Malia Hosaka (still rocks) 7. Kimona Wanalaya ( I won't be truly happy until I see her on TV again)

| #28 Posted on 5.2.02 2255.24 | Now we are getting female wrestling...but it seems Trish and Jazz are the only wrestling women on the roster!!! It was getting like UT/Austin from '98. Monday I was just praying Jazz would win so I could get 1 week without a Trish/Jazz match. What happened to Molly, Ivory, Lita, and...and...ummm...

So what about those of us who want to see the women get naked and fight? What about US?

| #32 Posted on 7.2.02 0914.44 | Obiously, most of the women just don't have the training to work a match, the fundamentals of telling a story in the ring in Cornette-ese. The women's matches we enjoyed were, what? The Trish/Steph PPV comes to mind; it was just a well-done fight, helped by the fact you could "feel" the hate. Booking angles will really help, too. The payoff for Lita chasing Steph for her belt was the main event on, and that was HUGE! However, the "f" word(as in "fundamentals," you sick freaks!)comes up again. Anyone can string together a few moves, and that's exactly the level most of the women are stuck at. Until they get more women and train the ones they have, they're stuck at matches with some decent moments, but no build and certainly no pay-off. I'm hoping that the split comes. With more TV segments open, they may have more time to develop angles (which when your in-ring performance is lacking, you have to excel at), and hopefully some new faces in the division, just to avoid "Jazz v. Trish? Again?" syndrome. I'm woefully ignorant of joshi stars, but if I could choose my picks from the WOW roster to bring in, I'd go with Riot and Jungle Grrl as they had good charisma, decent movesets and a clue on how to put a match together. Of course, they were booked as the unstoppable monsters, so, they may have had it easier than the other WOW'ers, who had to work the selling. Of course, you could just have the "divas" as really hot valets/seconds/managers with their run-ins and moves and save yourselves the trouble. But go for the gold, WWF!
