You're absolutely right -- presumably, there was a similar thing going on with the nude photos, or they never existed in the first place. It all made perfect sense! Nobody may knock what was once (and may still be, I guess) my favorite angle of all time. That was the angle that got me seriously into wrestling. I went from catching five minutes on TV every two months and sort of knowing who the heels were to throwing a fit if I couldn't be home Saturday at noon for Superstars.

Now I wasn't around then, but I DO know that pro-wrestling was VERY much a fad back then and a lot of the Sammartino/WWWF/NWA stuff would NOT have got over with the World of Sport audience. They saw THAT as legit pro-wrestling, and not the American stuff....
