A few threads as of late were talking about internal logic and continuity of storylines. The WWE doesn't seem to know what it wants to do anymore, flailing around searching for a "magic" solution, changing directions at a drop of a hat.

This started me thinking about the habit wrestling has of often dropping a storyline or angle without resolution, even if they have a blow-off match.

Best Example: Ric Flair's nude photos of Elizabeth at Wrestlemania 8 (he was gonna put them up on the Titan-Tron dammit!). The build-up to this match had everything, personal hatred, pursuit of the WWF Championship and innuendo about the Lady Elizabeth riding Space Mountain way back when. Maybe they're still in the jacket pocket of Mr.Pefect's Miami Vice double breasted sharkskin suit.

Favorite Example: Who stole Eddie Guerrero's wallet. The lineup and interrogation was classic, but absolutely no payoff. El Dandy--J'Accuse!

And, if one wants to go back a little on an angle being pushed this week, what about Billy Gunn's wife from the neck injury angle in 1995 when Sunny was managing the Smoking Gunns and Bart was blamed for injuring Billy. Is Billy now going to be practicing Bigamy?

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Yeah, nobody'd EVER get divorced and discover they weren't completely hetero over a period of SEVEN YEARS.

It still is an issue that was never properly developed or disposed of.

I was just thinking about that angle with Billy Gunn's wife, the other day. I remember Sunny making a comment about that when she hosted LiveWire.

Another angle that went nowhere was what would've happened if Flair was Austin's assistant.

And there has never been any follow-up on the Arn running from Brock to set up Vince defeating Flair.

I thought they ended the angle by revealing that the photos were doctored and originally featured Savage and Liz. (As a side note, I have a tape of WM8... that match owns me like no other match from Wrestlemania 8. )

Titan's usually good at angle resolution, but there's one instance where the ball was dropped horribly and I'm talking about GTV. GTV got so many segments yet a name was never dropped as to who was behind the camera. Even after Goldust (the guy who the angle was meant for) left the Fed, they could have easily found some other guy, given him the angle, and made a star out of him. Hell, you could have even named Goldust the man behind GTV when he came back in January!! Just overall sloppiness and a wasted opportunity.

They could possibly even have set up a GTV vs Kid-cam feud, wait maybe that's not such a good idea.

It was the "G" that screwed 'em up - the only other real possibility once Goldust left was making it "Gangrel-TV" and no one wanted to see that...

Well, one guy wanted to see that, but that's not important...

Here is a question that's been burning my brain since I started reading about Eddie Guerrero's wallet (my guess...Lizmark Jr. or Villano IV). Who drove the Hummer? Here's what I remember, Macho was going to tell us who drove the Hummer, as well as name a Miss Madness 2000 at a PPV (Road Wild?). He never did either, mabye he was to busy throwing Rodzilla in the Port-A-John or menacing Mona. I also remember photos of Hollywood next to a white Humvee.
The following is a list of what I can't remember;
1) Who got hit by the Hummer?
2) Who drove the Hummer?
3) Do I need clinical help for caring about this?

I have one older unresolved angle that comes to mind. Quite a few years ago in WCW, Flair had convinced Sting to be his tag team partner and turned on him. He even had brought kids to the ring to plead with the Stinger on his behalf. Sting reluctantly agreed to tag with Flair. (The match may have been against Pillman and Benoit, but I've killed many brain cells since that time.) Flair, of course, turns on Sting. Sting wants revenge. Sting has Flair in the Scorpion Death Lock in the middle of the ring. Flair submits. Sting continues to apply the hold. Referees can't get Sting to quit. Luger comes out, says something to Sting and Sting releases the hold. The WCW announcer (Okerlund?) asks Sting what Luger said to get him to release the hold. Luger and Sting put him off, hinting that they would answer the question the next week (or at least eventually). I never remember an explanation, I don't think that they ever answered the question. What did Luger tell Sting?

I also remember a WCW Saturday night back in the mid to late '80s when a big guy came out of the stands and interfered with a match. He may have hit someone with a football helmet, but I don't remember at all. I don't even remember who was wrestling in the match that the guy ran in on. I don't remember ever seeing the dude or hearing of it again. It definitely was a taped WCWSN so there was at least a point to the run-in, but it was never mentioned again. (Again, I have lost many brain cells since that time, but I don't think this was ever paid off.)

Does anybody else remember either of these incidents?

"And WHEN will Esse Rios return and get revenge on Angle for accusing him of being the one to run over SCSA?!?!"

Don't forget Angle accusing him stealing his T-shirt! There's gonna be some SWEET payback for that.

There are so many. Where was the whole Eddie/Hardys/Lita/Chyna menagerie going before Eddie visited Rehab Country? What was the deal with the Brood? Why did Mideon enjoy being naked? And WHO DROVE THE HUMMER?!

This topic comes up quite often, and that's ok, but every time someone asks who drove the hummer, and every time someone explains it so I dont see why everyone doesn't know yet but he's the deal.

Hogan was the one who got hit by the hummer first of all. After a while they kind of dropped it without revealing who it was. Then much much later, i'm not even sure how later it was, Bischoff and Russo became co-owners of the WCW and starting the whole New Blood vs. Old Blood feud. Billy Kidman feuded with Hogan and it was revealed that Kidman and Bischoff drove the hummer.

Like i said it was MUCH later, so much later that I don't think anybody cared. And i'm guessing that the reason so many people don't know is because they had given up on WCW by the time they revealed who the drive was and never saw it.

I mean it was so far between the Hogan getting hit and them revealing the driver that it would be the equivalent of them revealing who was behind GTV on this week Smackdown.

the nWo in WWE was never really resolved, it just disapeared(and took X-pac with it) after Nash tore his quad. not that it would have been any good anyways.

BTW, oldschoolhero, where do you take that poll on your sig?

Vince coming out and saying he has disbanded them because they never were able to make an impact isn't resolving?
Sure, it might be the cheap way out but damn did he finish and clear up that angle.

Wasn't it revealed that Eddie's wallet wasn't stolen or if it was that he just used it to embarrass the mexicans?

I believe the storyline was as follows:

Eddie Guerrerro was having an issue with Eric Bischoff, and so decided to form his own faction, the Latino World Order, where he recruited pretty much all of the Luchadors. Not long after this, he had his car accident. While he was recuperating, Ric Flair asked the remaining members to lost the LWO colours. He didn't need to ask twice. The only one who didn't disrobe was Rey Mysterio, who ironically didn't want to join in the first place. Anyway, Eddie came back and was pissed that all his hard work was all for nothing. So, he decided to humiliate them the way he was humiliated. He went to Doug Dillinger(sp?) saying that his wallet was stolen. He didn't know who took it, just that it was one of the Mexicans. So, security rounded up all of the luchadors and, one by one, they took off their masks. We've all heard the unmasking hoopla, so I won't go into that. After all of them unmasked, he decided that it wasn't one of the Mexicans who took it, and the unmasking was all for nothing.

I can't believe I remembered all of that.
