'A Christmas Story' director killed in crash

Film director Robert Clark, best known for the holiday classic "A Christmas Story," was killed with his son Wednesday in a head-on crash with a vehicle steered into the wrong lane by a drunken driver, police and the filmmaker's assistant said.

One of the classic films of all time - and what a sad end for its director, AND his son.

Just awful.

Sad news. I was surprised to learn a few years ago that he also directed Porky's and Black Christmas.

Thanks for all of the Christmas laughs, Bob. I love the 24 hour marathons every year.

Dean! Have you been shooting dope into your scrotum? You can tell me! I'm hip!

Also notably the Director of Porky's until just recently the highest grossing Canadian film of all time. (Bon Cop/Bad Cop just beat it.)

He also directed horror films like the original Black Christmas and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. A remake of the second film was in pre-production with him slated to direct.

Murder by Decree, the Sherlock Holmes Masonic conspiracy Jac the Ripper tale was his. He also did two films that I was perversely fond of and did not know that he had done: Turk 182 and Baby Geniuses

I heartily agreed with every word until the last two paragraphs. I didn't blame Jim and Pam at all for how the reacted after they left. Sometimes when things are that painfully awkward, the only way people know how to deal with it is through laughter....
