I was lucky enough to go to RAW in Richmond last night. I was wondering if anyone saw my "CRZ IS WALKING" sign? Im thinking probably not because I was in the Nosebleed seats. My roomate was supposed to tape the show for me but he forgot. Anyway, here are some thoughts on the show.

It was pretty obvious that Richmond was a WCW/NWA stronghold, because they was a lot of love for all the WCW guys. Of course Flair got a huge pop. But surprisingly so did DDP. It seems like everyone in the crowd threw up the Diamond Cutter symbol when he did. Big pops for Booker and Hurricane too.

This was my first live event so I never realized how much the commentary adds to a match. It was definitley diffrent to say the least. My girlfriend was really pissed when she realized that you wouldnt be able to hear JR and the King.

The entrances are really cool live as well. People say thet HHH's entrance is too long but when its live it doesnt seem like it. The crowd really eats it up, especially the water spitting thing. HHH and Austin tied for the loudest pops of the night, a close second was Big Show. Oh and if the WWF wants to really change Undertaker heel then they HAVE to change his music. As soon as Rollin comes on the crowd went crazy.

The WHAT phenomenon has been tamed IMO. The crowd really seemed to keep the WHATs in check for the most part while they waited for Austin. Basically if whoever is cutting a promo ignores the WHATs and doesnt give the crowds breaks to jump in, the crowd will shut up. I almost became mad because someone tried to start the WHAT chant during the Anthem but luckily they were hushed. The Anthem by the way wasnt sung by Lillian, but by a local singer whose name i didnt catch. But she did a beautiful job.

I spotted an X-PAC lookalike during a beer run, no lie. This guy had on the whole green and black DX getup complete with facial hair. Really funny. And NO it wasnt really X-pac unless X-pac is really 6-3.

Due to my crappy seats, The TitanTron was partially blocked so it was hard to see the backstage stuff and the awesome tribute video. Plus it was hard to hear all the backstage skits. It would be a few seconds before the audio kicked in. During the tribute video there was a big pop for Owen Hart which i thought was cool but no reaction for Brett Hart which i found odd. Big pops also for Rock, SCSA and Hogan.

All in all I had a blast. I was disappointed that the Rock wasnt there. Ive heard he'll be in Norfolk tonite for Smackdown which really pisses me off, LOL. I live in Virginia Beach which is closer to Norfolk (10 miles) than to Richmond (101 miles) but the Norfolk show sold out in a day. Also I was disappointed because I was hoping for a NWO appearance but I know the WWF has to milk that out. Anyway there shouldnt be a question, if the WWF is in your town then by all means you should go. Its an awesome experience. OK im done.....

That's my story and I'm sticking to it....

Damn you, you beat me to it. While we're at it, someone needs to make an 24-Hour News channel. I mean, all those shows like Larry King and The O'Reilly Factor are really picking up ratings.
