"-Kurt said after he wins he would pull his shorts and rub his balls in Puder's face. Bubba asked to speak to Kurt's wife Karen. When Bubba asked Karen about a possible Puder fight she said that it will never happen because she doesn't want Puder to get any attention. Kurt came back on and then stated that after he knocks Puder out he would let Karen go in the ring to piss and shit on Puder's face."
Now, I have to go to work so I can't really belabor the point, but if that's accurate I think that's running a close second to the Iron Sheik wanting to humble B. Brian Blair the old country way as inappropriate match shenanigans.
I read the recap and it sounds like Angle has no filter what so ever. I always knew he was pretty full of himself (saying he could pin Lesnar in a heartbeat irl) and never took him too serious when he said that. And I have no reason to doubt his ability to take out Puder..
But this sounds like he has gone somewhat insane Seems like the whole piss & shit thing is right out of a Kevin Smith movie.
Puder was on the show Tuesday, so Angle may have been responding to comments by him, as they played a clip of Puder's interview, after which Angle and the hosts started making fun of Puder.
But, yeesh....the recap makes it sound like a pretty insane rant.
PWTorch.com reader John Brzys sent the following recap of Daniel Puder on Bubba the Love Sponge radio show, being pressed about his WWE days and his Kurt Angle challenge.
-Puder opened up saying that he is currently an MMA fighter for "Strike Force" in there heavyweight division. He was asked several times who he has fought in MMA, he just stated that he is currently trying to make a name for himself and didn't mention any names.
-Puder said that Dana White offered him a contract to fight in UFC, but he turned it down because as of right now he doesn't want to fight in the UFC. Puder mentioned that he has spoken to several representatives from various MMA organizations about a possible fight against Kurt Angle but nothing developed.
-Puder stated that Kurt was a very good wrestler. Puder said that the only way Kurt could beat him is if it was a free style amateur wrestling match. Puder then said that he wants to fight Angle in a MMA cage on TV, but Angle will never accept the challenge because he's a "chump."
-According to Puder he is willing to put up all of his potential earnings in a fight against Angle in a "winner take all" MMA fight. Puder also said that he would be willing to fight Angle for free in his backyard and if he (Puder) loses he would bow down as say he is Angle's "bitch".
-Puder said that a lot of people in MMA think that Kurt Angle is washed up but they still have some respect for him because of his gold medal. Puder said that his "I hurt Kurt" T-shirts are funny and he's making money off of them selling them on his web site.
-Puder spoke about his time in WWE, Puder said that when he first arrived the guys were very tough on him in the ring but he kept his mouth shut and just tried to learn as much as possible backstage.
-Puder mentioned that he only received $250,000 of the $1 Million Tough Enough grand prize because it wasn't guaranteed money and they released him. Puder said WWE offered him a contract for a second year but according to him, "it was a crappy deal" and he turned it down. Puder added that he never had any problems with Vince McMahon and that he's a "good guy."
-Puder's big selling point for why he could beat Kurt Angle was that when he was in WWE and had a match against Angle, he stayed with him and that is wasn't a work. Puder said that the match was a real amateur wrestling match. Bubba called Puder out on this saying he watched parts of the match (Puder had e-mail the match to Bubba) and Bubba called Puder a chump. Bubba added that Kurt dominated Puder in the match and the only offense Puder had was an illegal arm bar.
-Bubba was very rough on Puder through out the entire interview, it should be noted that Bubba is very close friends with Kurt and his wife Karen. During the interview Bubba said that Puder is only using Kurt to get a "rub" and a "payday." Bubba added that Kurt doesn't need money and Puder does. Bubba called Puder a "poor man's Tito Ortiz," and said that Puder would be knocked out in the first round if he ever fought Angle.
-It should be interesting what Angle says about this interview, Kurt is scheduled to be a guest on Bubba's show this Thursday.

Demonstrations are a drag. Besides, we're much too high
I hope Angle is just talking trash, because I'd hate to see him put himself on the line in a real fight. Then again, I think he probably wouldn't be commissioned to fight by any legit organization at this point.
I think Angle could take Brock, at least before his problems, he could. It would be a tough fight. Didn't they actually have an exhibition before RAW one time in an empty arena (a la end of Rocky III)?

They did, and supposedly Kurt schooled him.
If it's "they did" (which sounds definitive), why is it "supposedly" schooled him (which isn't definitive)? I hadn't heard about this, so is there a source anywhere that isn't a message board or NEWZ site?

Doesn't surprise me. I've seen both wrestle (amateur) in person, and Brock usually won with sheer brute force and power, while I haven't seen anybody as technically skilled as Kurt. His balance and leverage alone were pretty dang amazing. Not that Brock wasn't a good wrestler, it's just that Kurt was so good. Almost inhuman at times.
I am biased because my father coached Kurt in the summer time when he was in high school, and I believe he was even in his corner for the national freestyles one year. He's a good guy (at least he was back then).

It was like four years ago, but it wasn't a clandestine story or anything. Kurt even talks about it in interviews sometimes whenever he goes into his requisite "but seriously I can beat up anybody for real. obviously. that's really all there is to it" spiel.

Thanks, Justin. I guess I don't hang in the right circles.
All this talk about Angle killing Puder, I don't know if I'd be so sure of that. Hurt or not, Kurt could probably wipe the floor with him in an amateur wrestling style match, but MMA is a completely different thing. Strikes and submissions are what its all about, neither of which Angle has ever done on a professional level. That's not to say that Kurt doesn't have the raw fighting ability and sense to pull it off, just that it's very wrong to completely write off someone like Puder who has been training for years in MMA. A few solid punches or elbows can do a lot more damage than a single leg takedown.
Angle may be a wrestling machine but that hardly implies that he's an MMA machine.
Ken Kennedy debuted a new finisher: Jeff Hardy fans will insist on calling it the Swanton Bomb, but it looks WAY more devastating when not performed by a 180-pound fruitcake. -Rick Scaia 06.12.2006

Haha. Well, I wouldn't call those circles right.
I think he has another story about him wrestling the Big Show and winning that too.
Is anyone else kind of disgusted the way he talks about his own wife? It reminds me of when he was trying to rape Sharmell and have "beastial sex" with her.
Why is does it seem like Kurt is trying so hard to be this controversial, shocking figure right now?
Originally posted by BigDaddyLocoI think Kurt is probably more just staying in character right now. At least that is what I am choosing to believe at this point.
Is his character's finishing move the "teabag?" Dude has flipped. I mean, you never hear H or Cena talking about rubbing their nuts on some dude's face...
For those considering satellite radio, Bubba's show on Sirius is very interesting for someone into wrestling. He routinely has guys on and asks things you're not going to get anywhere else.
Every Thursday, Angle is a call-in guest. From what I caught today, he gave really cool insight on the role Undertaker plays backstage. And his wife often comes on and talks very candidly about Kurt's oral skills. She revealed today that she "drys up" at the thought of McMahon. Also, Angle said that Shelton Benjamin is one of the toughest guys in the business and that Shelton destroyed Daniel Puter in a shoot match in the ring before a Raw taping; something that Vince didn't look to kindly on.
So, if you're into wrestlers saying "fuck" and "shit", fork over the $13 a month for the service. Hogan calls in hopped up on pills almost daily.

Between this and Howard Stern, I rather wonder at the tactics satellite radio is trying to use to battle network radio.
The comment about Shelton vs Puder is interesting, though. This is now twice that "pre-show shoot fights" have been mentioned, both surrounding Angle. (The other being Angle/Brock) Was this a practice normal before he came or no? More importantly, Team Angle still lived on backstage!!! :P
