Over the years of watching WWF I always wondered who is is the guy behind Doink the clown? Yet, I never cared enough to look it up, until today.
I found out it was the Brooklyn Brawler/Steve Lombardi. I got to tell y`all I am shocked.
Its like the time I found out Hogan`s real name is Terry Bollea.

The first Doink was Matt Borne. He was replaced by Steve Keirn (aka Skinner), then Lombardi played Doink for a little. The last guy to play Doink was Ray Licachelli, who took the character with him to the independents.

So sayeth Randy Stilton.

Yeah, guys. Back off a little. Just because someone has seen the shows over the years, doesn't mean that they automatically know all the smark stuff behind the scenes.

So he never bothered to look that stuff up before doesn't make him stupid (little lazy maybe...)

I was surprised to find out little things like that too, when I decied to do some research. I had no idea that Shawn Michael, Rob Van Dam, Billy Kidman, Chris Jericho, and several others actually had differend names. And with Hogan, I knew his name wasn't Hulk, but I thought it was something Hogan.

Just because someone doesn't know what you do, doesn't make them stupid. You should consider that next time.

I believe that Nick Dinsmore played Doink during the clown's couple of 2003 appearances, correct?

Correct. And technically Steve Keirn didn't replace Matt Borne as Doink, they were both playing the character at the same time when the whole "two Doinks" angle happened.

For two bonus points... who pretended to be Doink a few years back, showing up in crowds to distract from the matches, only to pull back the mask to reveal it was really _________ just looking to get the element of surprise!

Interesting, I don't remember who it was back a few years ago but don't forget Chris Jericho's one time performance prior to WM17.

I challenge you to Click Here (The W), get through ALL these posts, and wonder why I haven't bothered to say anything sooner.

I try to make these announcements from time to time because I worry that by saying nothing, I end up encouraging OTHER people to behave in exactly the same fashion - or, even worse, people who aren't admins start thinking THEY need to speak up...which they should never have to, if I'm doing MY job.

(Also, Stilton, please stop posting.)

I'm not seeing your point. Do you have a problem with his opinions?

And as far as people trying to do your job- maybe they're speaking up because they don't think you're doing your job.

It may be your job, but it's my favourite hobby! Not that I get the opportunity to enjoy it around here, I'm just saying...
