The second season of Dexter has been spectacular. The season wrapped itself up in a tidy little bow last night.
I was very sad to see Dokes die. He has been amazing in season 2. Of course, there was no real way for him to escape this season once he found Dexter out and was subsequently caught. I told the Queen of Keith that I wanted him to join with Dexter and have them travel the world in a bus as a team, but alas, Lila put an end to that.
Dexter killing the pale English titty vampire was not as satisfying as I hoped it would be. There aren’t many characters I have hated more than Lila in all of tv land. Still, she’s gone, and that’s not a bad thing.
So, we head to season 3, with Dexter abandoning Harry’s code and beginning his new one. He mentions that now he’s the master, so it makes me wonder if he’s going to have students.
Very happy with the end results. Thank you Showtime for creating one of the must-see things on TV.
Agreed on all accounts. If the show goes in the same direction implied by the second book, we'll definitely see something come from that "master" comment.
Two great quotes from the season finale:
"If you believe that God makes miracles you've gotta believe that Satan has a few up his sleeve."
"It's strange to have a creation out there, a deeply mutated version of yourself running loose and screwing everything up. I wonder if this is how parents feel."
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
