Wow. Sooooo bad.

And the division is terrible too, and has been for a couple years. Unfort, this is the year the Packs' weaknesses are being way exposed.

A half expect to see Favre hand it off to Paul Ott Carruth.

As for the defense, where's Ezra Johnson when you need him?

Not to put salt in any wounds...but HOW much is Javon Walker being paid?

And you thought selling Amway was his career lowlight?

According to the NFLPA, Walker's salary this year was $515,000. His salary next year is $650,000. Both Driver and Ferguson get paid more than him.

We tried to help the defense yesterday. In the drive just after we closed it to 19-17, we (the crowd) started a "Reg-gie! Reg-gie!" chant, in hopes of inspiring a totally un-inspired team.

Obviously, it didn't happen.

Going into the game, I was of the impression that a win meant nothing, but a loss indicated a long season. My only hope at this point is that we also stunk at the start of last season, yet managed to turn it around.

You think the Pack looked bad, try looking across your border to the west. Oy. You know it's going to be a long season when, for the first time in history, the Vikes and the Pack start their seasons 0-2. Good LORD Culpepper has sucked the past two weeks, but for the first time in 10 years, we can honestly say that our defense is better than our offense.

God bless the men of 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard...good luck, and come home soon.

Even worse...Steve "Don't Call Me Eric" Heiden damn near killed me with his celebratory spike & mauling by fellow NFL players (and Trent Dilfer) after his 2nd TD:

(AP Photo/Mike Roemer...thanks ESPN.com article)

That's me in the red shirt behind Aaron Kampman. But like a typical Brown, Heiden missed me w/ the spike...must've been watching old Bob Wickman tapes. :-)

Gonna be a loooooooooooooooooong year.
