What causes a post to be poor enough that it needs to be deleted? Are these the annoying posts I read about in another thread? There's been some real goofy stuff around here that hasn't been deleted by CRZ (i.e. Davros' repetitive noise from a few weeks ago). I won't speak for him. He does that best. 
But...I think if it's anything that's over the top offensive, or REALLY stupid. He'll nuke it.
In some cases, he or Guru just go ahead and dis-user the account and wipe away all of it's posts.

In the old days, deleted posts were just obliterated without any evidence left behind - we still do this occasionally when it's easier to blow out a whole bunch of posts at once (ie spam) but a while back I made a code change that resulted in what you're seeing now. I should add that this also applies to posts deleted by their original authors.

If you really look at it, 9/10s of the posts are pretty stupid when it comes down to it, right? If we wanted highly intelectual conversation, wouldn't we all be looking for a Mensa message board something... ANYTHING other then a wrestling message board, right?
I don't think you'd ever find 'It's either this or porn' as the header on a serious message board, which in and of itself is an oxymoron already.
CRZ chimes in with snide remarks towards posters yet he says 'Don't be an ass'. I know it's his board and all, but that's not really setting a good example for the other asses, now is it. Why not just say "Ok, you are making an ass of yourself, please stop or you will be gone from here, this is a warning." instead of "Golly, you sure talk a lot!" or "Oh, I get it, you're being ironic!". I'm pretty sure the majority of the people who come on here are not comming here to be publicly(well... to the internet anyway) ridiculed at every turn.
