| #1 Posted on 31.10.02 0915.08 | This is from Gamespot. I was pretty "whatever" until the last paragraph:
--- EA Sports Big has announced a street fighting game for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube that will put known hip-hop artists in the ring. The game will have 45 unique playable characters, including 12 Def Jam artists such as DMX, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, N.O.R.E., and Scarface. The Def Jam artists' music will also appear in the game.
Def Jam Vendetta will let players test their fighting skills in an underground circuit that includes 10 detailed hip-hop environments. The fighting system is claimed to be highly realistic and includes 1,500 moves, including signature specials and taunts.
Def Jam Vendetta is due out in early 2003. The game will be developed by Japan-based AKI Corporation, which has created a number of successful wrestling games, and the EA Canada team responsible for NBA Street. ---
AKI is developing a new game! Hey, if it has an updated VPW2/No Mercy engine and decent CAW, I don't care if it features characters from Dawson's Creek. (Though it would be kinda fun beating them up.)

| #2 Posted on 31.10.02 0955.53 | While I'm overjoyed that AKI is still making wrestling games, I'm kinda disappointed that they left the WWE games behind for this. Think of how awesome No Mercy would have been on GameCube...
It'd be great if they left all the WWE moves in, then we could recreate everyone easily. Even without WWE guys, as long as they didn't mess with the basic AKI style it'll be a great game.

| #3 Posted on 1.11.02 0721.53 | Think of how cool the entrance music in this game will be? Redman and Method Man coming down to Rockwilder, Ludacris coming down to Southern Hospitality or Move Bitch, and if they had Pastor Troy in it...... any of his songs would be GREAT entrance music.

Will it have a Create a hip hopper? I think the tag team of Eric B and Rakim would rule it.

| #5 Posted on 1.11.02 1513.07 | I saw the movies from the official site, and yes it looks damned good. Looks like a more detailed No Mercy with great looking arenas. I am going to get it.
